My first experience at SIP, great atmosphere and good service. Water had some boogers in it from the cooler, I ordered 5 pieces of bacon and only got 4.Food was pretty good, not amazing but good. Otherwise we had a good experience, lots of parking and plenty of room to sit!
SIP when it first opened was really cool and had such a great vibe, super family friendly and had great food and drink. Now when we go we can barely get anyone to take our drink or food order for a half hour or more of being there, so you have to go up to the bar to order for yourself. We go there for pizza and you are lucky if you can eat and get out of there within 2 hours. Sometimes they run out of food or simply don’t have the kitchen staff to make any food. The parking is really bad there and you can almost never park in the actual parking lot. They used to have excellent customer service, staffing and food, but somehow it seems all have disappeared. Super sad too because it’s right in our neighborhood and had such a fun family - dogs concept!
We used to love coming here. We started coming in early 2019 when I was pregnant and the staff were great to us, one lady would even make a special non-alcoholic drink I could enjoy while my husband and friends ordered fresh cold beers. Since then the quality of service has declined steadily, and significantly. I recently asked for one of those fun moments alcoholic drinks (pregnant again) and was told “we don’t do that here I can get you a soda.” Our kids used to be welcome, and now they seem like they are being shunned as evidenced by the basket of crayons being taken away as soon as we arrive as well as the blunt sign on the door that says “no children after 7pm effective immediately.” Which is a bad business model if you ask me since lots of people who visit breweries have children or grand children and are looking for somewhere nicer to take families that isn’t a bar. We have always tipped well and been very polite, as we loved coming here. LOVED coming here. Last time we visited we were asked to leave around 8pm , as we were ordering food and our children were playing hide and seek in the trees out back. We have never complained about poor service or the long wait for food and drink. They are constantly blaming the long waits and poor service on a lack of staff but that is not any good excuse for treating customers poorly. And now we will not be back. Save your time and money and go to “crooked can” at center street market in hilliard where children are welcome and families are treated with respect. I should add that if you have a dog, come on by. They are more welcome than my sleeping infant.
We slid in way late and the guys in the kitchen hooked us up with amazing pizza. Beers were on point as always ! We are on the far Far East side and will stop in whenever we get the chance.
Service has been excellent every time I've been. Pizza is so good as is the bacon appetizer. But best of all, Deflategate!!Edit: Bacon might beat Deflategate by a smidge. Tough call, they're both AMAZING!!!
This is a place that I have always loved and recommended to many people. However, this evening was a different experience. Food and service were good. A few minutes after 7, parents of children were approached (rudely and loudly) that they needed to get out. Every parent that I was close to, including myself were in the works of packing up our children to leave. A few were still waiting to pay I went in to let them know, that after spending over $70 I found it frustrating to be spoken to that way. I know others felt the same. I was told “sorry you feel that way”. I understand that some children may have caused issues there in the past. But to be a parent who monitors their children’s behaviors closely and then to have the establishment not care is a turn off. We have always loved SIP as not only a family day out but also a date night. It will be hard to go back at all now. To note: I don’t disagree with the no children rule after 7pm. I disagree with the manor in which it was enforced. My family has always loved the Gallo’s restaurants. I was shocked to have my concerns met with no care at all.
My husband and I arrived after work on a Friday evening, and the place was very busy and all tables were taken! All 3 people working made a point to address us and all worked hard to make sure we had a place to sit and complete our beer flight! We enjoyed the beer and even more enjoyed the customer service we recieved on our first visit!
It's an Ok place. Not my favorite brewery in town, but worth a visit. Staff wasn't too attentive, but everyone is short on help, so understandable. If you're in the area, stop by, but don't go too far out of your way. Although, it looks like it could be a fun summertime outdoor hangout.
Nice location, smaller inside but has great patio. Two great sours on tap liked the save me a slice. The studwizer was also nice. Food menu looks pretty good.
Loved the brewery! Great beer and the pizza was really fresh and good. We got the Margherita Pizza with califlower crust and it was awesome! A flight of four great beers and it made for a great brewery experience!
