Love this place! Like a healthier chipotle style restaurant. Organic, non GMO. They have pre-made bowls to choose from or build your own. The roots bowl is my favorite! Such a great combination of flavors. This is my #1 choice when I need something quick but healthy. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. Parking can be kind of annoying to find on side streets.

Just a short walk from campus. This food was Healthy and absolutely delicious! The bowls packed a big punch of flavor.I got a bulgur base with a variety of ingredients, each one seasoned to perfection and the house made sauce to top it off. Wow, Absolutely perfect. This is by far my favorite food in Columbus. It was filling, delicious, nutritious, and interesting. There are vegan options and vegetarian options. The build your own bowl feature is so nice and the house special bowls looked amazing too. I got an ice tea and it was the perfect compliment to my lunch. The tea is so refreshing and crisp. The cost is fair for the amount of food you get.The decor is clean and modern the atmosphere is so nice with the big courtyard outside. I am most definitely stopping by again on my next trip. The customer service is splendid!

I ordered catering pick up for a party. Everything was delicious! Our guests raved about the food all day. I really appreciated the dining/serving ware and utensils that were included, as well as the handy picture of how to set everything up. Ordering was super easy online and I got a call the week of to confirm details. We'll definitely consider Roots again for another event!

Michael, your genuine hospitality made my entire week! I have been painting over at the new Barrios tacos and I've fallen in love with this place. From the moment you step inside the inviting decor welcomes you into their space. The team that works here is always so patient, friendly, and courteous and you can tell they care. Everything I have eaten here has been absolutely delicious. The bowls are so large that I can get two meals out of it. These are the perfect meal anyway you fill them. Even the large restrooms are fresh! I highly recommend coming here to have a meal and it's so nice to eat outside on the umbrella covered patio.

This place is ideal in theory and would have been perfect if they hadn’t drenched the salad in dressing. Be sure to ask for dressing on the side or just less!!I had the Mayweather, and all the flavors were perfect together. It’s a bit pricey given the quantity you get (esp minimal chicken). The staff could be just a bit more welcoming.

I ate a delicious "late lunch" recently [4-20-2022] at Roots Natural Kitchen [at 10 E. 15th Ave. near the OSU campus].For many years [1979-2000], I had worked directly across the street [on the south side of E. 15th Ave.] at the former Long's Book Store [at 1836 N. High St.]; that store is no longer there.Roots Natural Kitchen is located exactly where one of the two locations of the former Cord Camera business near the OSU campus used to be; that Cord Camera store is no longer there.Further east [near Pearl Alley] had been the business formerly known as Kinko's Copy Center [now moved and now known as "FedEx Office Print & Ship Center"]; that business is no longer called that and is no longer there. That neighborhood is completely different from when I had known it. Thankfully, Sullivant Hall and Mershon Auditorium are still at the intersection of N. High St. and 15th Ave. so I had not been completely disoriented while eating my delicious food at Roots Natural Kitchen.I had studied the Roots Natural Kitchen menu on-line before arriving there; thus greatly speeding up my ordering process at the ordering counter. My food choice had been an "El Jefe" "Signature Bowl: [Primary Base: Brown Rice; Secondary Base: Kale; Ingredients: Black Beans, Charred Corn, Red Onions, Avocado, Pita Chips [G], Feta [D]; Dressing: Cilantro Lime; From the Grill: Chicken; Make it “the works” with a squeeze of fresh lime and Tabasco!].It had been great fun to watch the workers behind the counter very quickly preparing my food, which had been ready in approximately two minutes and had been absolutely fresh and absolutely delicious. It had been wonderful to be able to visit Roots Natural Kitchen on while my way to several events that day on or near the OSU campus.I strongly recommend Roots Natural Kitchen if you happen to be in that area.

I took my two young kids here because they like rice and figured it would work out. The woman who helped us knew exactly how to guide us through the menu. She suggested kids bowls and how other kids have liked their orders, all solid recommendations. My bowl was great too, I was excited about the BBQ tofu and it didn't disappoint.

I just had their Southern Bowl and it was one of the most delicious bowls I've ever had!The portions are big and the food is very fresh. Can't wait to try their other bowls!

Really solid place for salad or grain bowls. I had a salad with chicken, and it was all very good very fresh ingredients. They do limit the custom salad to 5 toppings, then it’s an additional 50 cents per topping, which isn’t that absurd given the cost and quality. It’s good healthy food, the type of place you would take your parents to. It’s also has a nice outdoor space.

I used to eat Roots all the time when I lived in Charlottesville, VA so I was super excited to see that they opened a location in Columbus. The food was just as delicious as I remember, and I’m so happy that they chose to open a spot in C-bus. The food is fresh and the portion sizes are large. Highly recommend!
