Best place ever! We even got to meet Portia herself.
Really great food. I’m not vegan and often am put off by vegan menus but this was very comprehensive and healthy! The service was a little slow despite the cafe not being full. We had to ask for our drinks twice.
Absolutely lovely environment. All the food is vegan, gluten free and wonderful tasting. The staff are kind and friendly, the only critique I can make is that the butternut soup needs a few more spices.
OK so I just found my second favorite place in Columbus. Portia’s Cafe is still #1, but Portia has also opened a diner, forge on High Street! This is a super delicious and healthy vegan calzone with vegan pepperoni, vegan cheese and it’s also gluten-free!. I finished with a decadent creamy vegan chocolate mousse!

This food is so delicious. I left the diner feeling well fed and good about eating plant based. The burger is extremely flavorful. The waffles were great too! We also had a broccoli and ‘cheese’ soup that literally blew my mind. We met Portia herself and only felt warmth from her. Definitely recommend checking out this place if you can
There's a lot of good vegan food in Columbus but this really isn't one of them.The flavors are kinda thrown together and don't really work as a meal. Most of the food we tried was just trying to approximate food that usually has meat. However, it's not really done well. Very disappointing experience overall despite it being a nice aesthetic.
Totally Organic kinds. Menu is completely meatless and has it own substitutes. Like omelettes are made of tofu, sausage is made of mushrooms and many other items are plant based. There is no dairy, coffee is served with soya/almond nondairy milk. Server/host is excellent, she was so humble, sweet and provides good suggestions to make the right choice in the menu basing one’s food interest. There are chocolates, cakes and other snacks which are all organic made. Small breakfast restaurant. basement has the restroom, recommendation to keep the restroom dry. Ambience of the restaurant is filled with nice money plants and lucky bamboo plants. Overall, good experience eating here.
Stopped in a few weeks ago, the service was incredible and Portia was even the one cooking that day, so food was extra good. It was my first time, but I will be a regular going forward . Also the "Face Friendly" environment was wonderful. I love seeing an establishment be inclusive and not give into the nonsense of what is happening in this world.
Perspective from not a vegan or GF eater, not for lack of respect of such orders of eating, just not my routine:This was delicious, fulfilling, and by all feeling and probabilities, quite nourishing! Chill, friendly neighborhood vibe and such; street parking and a few spots out back.
