Avoid this place! I’m not usually a complainer but this was the worst experience my family and I have ever had. We walked in, no one greeted us, we sat ourselves down and we’re told we had to come to the register to order. We ordered 2 bowls of rare beef and meatball pho and two banh mi pork subs and my kids shared a chicken fried rice. The food took extremely long to come out, nothing came out together so we could eat as a family. We ordered two Thai Teas and a water. We didn’t get none of them until we were almost finished with food. The bowls of pho did not have the rare beef in them so the lady took them back and heated the bowls up in the microwave and threw rare beef in the bowl, the beef tasted like it was old and had been sitting out all day. We could not eat these bowls of pho. My kids complained the fried rice was dry and bland with no flavor. Our banh mi subs had barely any meat it was all bread that was hard as a rock. They brought out 1 egg roll and said it was an apology egg roll for 4 people lol then had the courage to ask us how it tasted- all of us maybe got 1 bite- if that. The customer service was terrible, food was terrible. If you’re looking for a good place with good customer service go to huongs right down the street. Huongs is where we usually go but they were closing soon so we didn’t make it there in time and decided to try this place instead, worst decision we could’ve ever made.
Stumbled across this place while I was out running errands and was so glad I did! Food took a little longer than I expected, but the owner explained that it was all made from scratch. Worth the wait. Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh! Will definitely be back.
It was about 4:00pm on a Sunday when we saw this place after shopping at Menard's. We dined here as we are always looking out for new Vietnamese.I ordered the Bahn Mi Pork Sausage (Cha Lua). It was very good! Around 6-7" in size. It had good mix of flavor from the ingredients. The cha lua was springy and had a more pronounced fish sauce flavor. For me it was unexpected, but a welcome change from what I usually get around the area. It is a food I am very familiar with. The mayo and pâté were excellent, and I learned from the owner that it is homemade. Very good! The baguette was very good as well. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My wife had the Rice Plate with Korean BBQ Ribs (Com Suon Bo Dai Hang). She enjoyed the dish and said they were tasty. She did wish there was a bit larger portion with the meal for the cost however. For what it's worth, this is a very, very family run business, so expect children to be around, who might possibly ring you up and bring your food out. Nothing at all wrong with this, it teaches them responsibility and interaction with people. Our two servers/hostesses did a great job!Positive first experience, and we will come here again.
Awesome food for what you are paying. You can't expect to get authentic food on a budget but I rather eat here than McDonald's or Chinese food. It's the same price for me to eat here than a Mexican place. The seasoning on the proteins are also on another level when it comes to taste.
When are these come-and-go businesses gonna learn that overcharging and rude customer service kills your customer base and your business? This place won’t last in that location. I dare a pho place to sell a $5 buck bowl for a few months and watch the line be out the door every day. If you can’t see how that would be good for your overall business plan, then you’re doomed to endure the slow bleed as your business fails.
Very good, everything was fresh and they give you lots of meat in the soups. Spring rolls were huge and delicious
Love this place! The food is delicious and atmosphere is low-key. We've had the Pho several times now and it never disappoints. Their banh mi's are delicious, one of the best in town! We've also eaten their chicken plate. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. It comes with rice, a little cup of soup and some pickled veggies. Highly recommend this place!
If you want a stale sandwich then come here. I walked in and the owner/guy didn’t even acknowledge me. He looked up at me and continue to ignore me while making his coffee. How rude! I almost left right then and there but I had been wanting to try their sandwiches so I ordered. That was a huge mistake. He took forever to make my sandwiches but I thought so long as they were good then it would be worth it. He handed me my food without a simple thank you. I got in the car and tried the grilled beef. The bread was stale, there was barely any carrots and I had a tiny piece of cucumber. The meat was also on the low side. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed- needless to say I will not go back!
Solid Pho and Bahh mi restaurant and reasonable prices. The Vietnamese coffee is made with Cafe Du Monde coffee & chickory. We ordered the Meatball Pho with vermicelli noodles, Grilled pork Banh mi, spring roll and egg roll. The pho broth was light and sweet, with a vegetable sweeting flavor and came with genuine Thai basil. The Banh me had perfect fresh French bread that was light and airy inside with a good crisp crust and the pork was nicely seasoned. The Egg rolls were good but not the best in the area and the spring rolls were quite good. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a good sign. The homemade hot pepper oil was quite good, one of the better ones I've tasted.
Great bread on the pork banh mi - crackling crust, almost weightless interior. The homemade pepper sauce is much tastier than sriracha.
