For sure the best pizza in Columbus!I use to make pizza at home all the time… but if I need to go out for pizza, Paulie Gee’s is for sure my to-go place.Pizza is delicious and quality of the products is very high. Crust (Neapolitan Style) is very light and digestible. I love it and I could it 2 of them!Place is nothing fancy but it is pretty cozy and servers are nice and really help.
This is now one of my favorite pizza spots. It's hard to find job traditional pizza in Columbus. This reminds me of a more unique pies and Pints. I ordered the Mootz which was a garlic flavored pizza. My girlfriend ordered the Greenpointer which has the Arugula and shaved Parmigiano. Both pizzas were extremely good! The tartness of the Arugula really surpsied me with how well it went on the Greenpointer pizza. The Mootz had the perfect garlic flavor, and the crisp Spinach was just the icing on top. This place is not cheap though, so make sure you are ready to spend $30+ dollars on pizza.
Food was terrific. Our first time here, so we ordered a couple things to try, the salad, the Ricky Too and Cacio e Pepe pizzas. Everything was fresh and delicious. The star of the evening , most definitely, the Cacio e Pepe pizza. Staff was friendly, welcoming. It was very busy and yet food was fresh, hot didn't take to long to get. Looking forward to going back and trying other menu items.
Brick oven pizza was light and crunchy, great choice of toppings but not a lot of flavor. Service was uninterested in explaining the menu to a new guest, which I understand because it was Saturday at 9 but I realized it was due to they close at 10 and staff was ready to go so I rated according to that!
We ordered two pizzas to go. We ordered the Regina which was hands down my favorite of the two. Crust was perfect and the simple ingredients really let the flavor shine!! We also ordered the cacio e pepe which was also tasty and delicious but the standout was the Regina. Can't wait to go back.
Best pizza in Columbus BUT one star because they are inconsistent with when you are able to do take out and their menu. Things on the menu randomly are there and then taken away. I love eating here but every time I call it’s either they don’t have what I want or they aren’t doing take out that night.
Saw this place in article of best pizza spots around the city and gave it a try. If neapolitan style is your type of pizza then you gotta give this place a try. All 12inch pies that are fresh and full of flavor. Taste just as good reheated the next day as well. Give the joe pep and Jeb garden pizzas a bite. It is better to dine it as you will be served quicker than take out.
Paulie Gee’s matches the vibe of chilling at your favorite cousin’s house party (all the waiting staff were wearing beanies, gosh darn). It feels relaxingly industrial with ceramic tiles lining the floors balanced with dim, yet warming lighting. The environment is lively, but not so loud that it’s difficult to hold a private conservation. I visited in January and sat by the door, and I must say there was a bit of a draft.Paulie G. offers an exciting drink menu with some unique choices. The Kalimotxo and limoncello spritz were sipped on.I also ordered some Neapolitan-style pizzas. I’m a vegetarian and was happy to see there were plenty of options. The dough was the star; the amazingly crispy yet chewy crust needed not a single topping (they were appreciated, however). The pizzas were ready quickly with beautifully charred air bubbles in their 12 inch form, which is about enough for one person and a snack the next day. I tried:- The Caio e Pepe Pie: inspired by the pasta dish; chilled burrata swaddled by the warm embrace of melty mozzarella and pecorino with plenty of black pepper. I became emotionally distraught when it was all gone.- The Trustfall Pie: I closed my eyes, crossed my arms, and fell into the arms of a wonderful mushroom pie with red sauce that had a bit of a red pepper flake kick. None of the pizzas are overloaded with sauce and toppings and are well-balanced.There aren’t a lot of things that shivery Central Ohio has in common with picturesque Napoli, but Paulie Gee’s is bringing a slice of Italy and their unique pizza style to Columbus. Square Detroit-style pizzas are available, but it feels wrong to not get a thin, chewy Neapolitan-style pie from a place with a wood fire oven. I feel a degree of separation anxiety from the pizzas at Paulie’s, and I will definitely stop by when I’m in the Short North again.
Classic wood fired Neapolitan style pizza. Great beer selection, not just IPA’s either, some great ales and lagers on tap. 17 for a basic pizza seems a bit high since they are on the smallish side.
Fantastic service, delicious pizza. Shop/restaurant was clean and I was acknowledged as soon as I entered. Everyone wore face coverings and maintained a respectable distance. Most importantly, the pizza is just delicious .
