In general, it was very good. The food was great by normal standards, though compared to some of the amazing Indian restaurants in Columbus it was slightly underwhelming. Big bonus for being one of the only restaurants with a buffet currently open. If you're in a hurry and want Indian food, it's not a bad option, though if you have the time I'd go to a higher quality sit down Indian restaurant.
I've never eaten inside but the food here is excellent! Every time I order take out and delivery, the spices of each dish is on point, the food is always hot when it arrives, and it is always carefully packaged. I really can eat this food every single day.
Everytime I pick up from this restaurant they give me bad vibes they won’t say a word and will slightly throw the bags at you like your nothing but today took the icing off the cake the older guy looked me and this girl in the face ignored us for a good 5 minutes while he pretended to look busy avoiding giving us our order mind you it’s not busy at all he was so rude and was looking evil he don’t say a word to no one but his own kind this restaurant is racist I would not support anyone who doesn’t like Americans but takes our hard working money. No customer service what’s so ever UNACCEPTABLE
Garbage food they serve. I order Biryani and Rasmalai. The Rasmalai was very hard they don't even care about customer while serving such type of garbage. In there description they wrote soft cottage cheese dipped in milk. And when the order arrived it was solid bread ball dipped in milk. The ball was hard like a stone and milk is too sweet. This is how they bluff their customer. Biryani too was just hot no flavor nothing at all. I called the restaurant and the person who received my call said ok i will inform to the owner. Man I paid for that. He didn't have the courtesy to say madam I can send it again. No, I will inform the owner. Your information will not return my money back. Spoiled my Saturday by sending garbage...Pathetic restaurant.
If you like tasty food and can ignore the decor, this place offers a good lunch buffet. Food is delicious, well cooked and greatly seasoned.
I went to New Taj Mahal for having Indian food in dinner but was disappointed due to their food quality. I ordered goat biryani and made it a meal by adding rice pudding. Raita (yogurt preparation) comes with biryani. Also, ordered veg samosa, lamb curry and gulabjamun. The goat meat in biryani was undercooked, most of the meat pieces were rubbery. Too much oil, spices were added to biryani and seemed to be mixture of goat meat curry mixed with rice. Although I have not found authentic biryani in Columbus or Cleveland yet!! Most restaurants I have visited serve rice mixed with (chicken/goat/lamb/beef) meat and lots of wrong combinations of spices and called 'biryani' !! Anyways back to New Taj Mahal food - the raita served with biryani was yogurt without cucumber/carrots/cilantro. The rice pudding had an unknown smell which I didn't like, but the texture was good. The veg samosa and gulab jamun was ok. Lamb meat was properly cooked but the gravy/sauce was actually tomato puree. Overall I wouldn't recommend any meat items as those could be undercooked, too oily and spicy.

Stopped in for the lunch buffet today and was very rudely treated by the old man who worked there. Very passive-aggressive for no discernible reason. He was staring at me the whole time. Food was pretty tasty though! Not as spicy as I would've liked, but it's a buffet after all.
Good food, but very spicy. I typically order 2-3/5 spicy, but when I ordered medium (2/4) here it was so hot, they took it back and made it more mild for me. Happened to a friend's meal too. Next time, I'll order mild. Friendly waiter.
Food is great, Chicken Biryani, Tikka, Samosas are on point. Tandoori Chicken is loved by kiddos. One of our go-to delivery places when tired of pizza. 9/10 times delivery is great. Only disappointing times are based on the 3rd party outsourced delivery drivers. Wish they would go back to inhouse drivers.
