Never again. Just threw $20+ food in the trash after trying one bite of the tofu home style (bright red with pepper and smelled like vinegar and did NOT have vegetables as promised) and even the cucumber salad was completely covered with red pepper powder and flakes. I've had both of these all over town and never so hot that I could not eat them. So just go to Kroger's and grab something from the deli case, dump a bag of hot pepper sauce on it, take one bite and throw it out, and you'll still have saved 50% over what happened to me. Both of these were not marked with peppers on the menu. I did not ask for spicy. What a waste of money, time, and food.
Honestly amazing, the reviews are true! I ordered the pan fried dumplings, spicy fried chicken (C3) and the beef noodle soup (M2). Everything is super flavorful, and still hot/crispy even with a long delivery time. Only possible negative was the beef was on the fattier side, but thats a personal preference, and could be a positive to others. If you're looking for not-mall-quality Chinese food, this is it!
Get the spicy twice cooked fish. Don’t think too hard about it. Don’t question why you are ordering fish from a small Chinese restaurant. Do it and remember, it’s cooked twice, I can’t get sick, right? In all seriousness this is one of my favorite restaurants. It is authentic and delicious. Don’t be disappointed when you crave it and it’s Tuesday and they’re closed. Spicy twice cooked fish, Szechuan green beans and the spicy pork with cilantro are great choices!
As an asian but not chinese, this restaurant provided us tasty american-chinese foods with affordable prices. We ordered General Tso's chicken, Braised pork belly and lo mein w/ shrimp.(From left to right in the first picture) All tastes amazing and the amount of foods are extraordinary. We loved lots of meats and the hugh-sized shrimps. All of the foods were cooked beyond my expectation. The texture of pork belly was smooth but not totally shredded. Shrimp was cooked perfectly (Look at the sizes!! I sometimes disappointed when I see overcooked shrimp.) And the sweet and a bit spicy tastes of Genetal tso's sauce was the best in town or at least our neighborhood. In summary, their foods were satisfactory and I'll have them again for future instead of Panda Express.
I've probably had the typical American-style Chinese food hundreds of times and you always know what to expect. This place blows those expectations out of the water and serves up some distinct and delicious dishes from another region of China. We had the Beef Noodle Soup, Edamame, Salt & Pepper Tofu, and the Spicy Twice Cooked Fish. All of them were great. The soup has a flavorful and slightly spicy broth that goes well with the noodles and bok choy. The tofu dish was excellent - and I'm not even a fan of tofu. The fish was packed with flavors and perfectly cooked.
The specialty dishes for two with pancake are amazing and realistically could serve four to six people. The seaweed salad is also really good but sadly as there was only two of us so that's all we had room for.
Service is not good. That asian lady/owner said $2 more dollars for more rice. I ordered two main dishes carryout and they gave one rice. Should not have tipped them. Not the greatest way to run business.
Stay away from the general tso chicken. It’s made out of bits of overcooked chicken and the rest is hard fried breading. Super dry.
i got a hot pot to go and it was absolutely divine! have been going here for years and it never disappoints
NE Chinese makes amazing food! The flavors took me back to my visit to China. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The spicy twice cooked fish, hot and sour noodles, salt and pepper tofu, and cream custard buns were incredible. I can’t wait to go back and try more items.
