I was not expecting the level of yumminess I experienced when I popped into this little strip mall store front restaurant on my way to the zoo today. I was so pleasantly surprised. Mexican food can be so hit or miss in the US, especially anywhere beyond the Southwest, but this place brought my taste buds back to the borderlands.
My first time there, It was very basic and over priced.
Lovely place if your like Mexican food. Service is a little slow, when I was there the dining room was not too full, however just for a salad took quite a long time and many other orders after me were filled first.The wait was worth it though! I had the taco salad with no shell, with chorizo and guacamole. Delicious!Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor on both the guacamole and pico. The chorizo was a little over cooked but was still very good.I have went back for this meal a few times but changing up the meat to chicken and pork and every time it is delicious.Be prepared, there is no drink station so no refills. I know for us Americans this is odd but for the rest of the World this is normal.Dining area was clean and plenty of space so you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of other parties.The restrooms were also very clean and kept up.This is a place I will continue to go to time and time again
Easily the worst restaurant around. We've visited 3x hoping to have one good meal, but it never happened and never will. The food is incredibly sub par and at our most recent visit, they treated us incredibly disrespectfully. They rang our order up wrong so we got it fixed. Then, they didn't give me any of the extras I paid for (beans, sour cream, tomatoes) and when we took my plate up to ask, the lady at the counter said "What now?" in the rudest, most aggressive way. Not only is the food bad, the people don't care. Save yourself the hassle and spend your money somewhere else.
We have seriously been trying to find better tacos al pastor in this city. But these ones are by far the best. Fresh pineapple is AMAZING! Highly recommend!
I have been to this place couple times before and hence could not resist ordering food from there now and then. The place has a authentic Mexican vibe. Its a cozy and comfort place. I just loved the guacamole and flan is my favorite one. They do have other items which are absolutely good. I have tried some sandwiches and tacos.
I’ve heard this place (Sawmill Rd) was a good place…While visiting here from Nc-it’s looks nice on the inside-but i did not feel welcomed by the young boy who took my order and kept ignoring me as he answered the phone and kept repeating my order wrong. I ordered a (1) taco to try-And after my taco was ready-he just sat the bag on the counter and walked away without any gesture nor acknowledged me as i stood there and waited for him to say this is your order and maybe a thank you-I had to ask if that order was mine.I really wanted to experience a positive experience like i heard about, my food was not what i expected. I am so truly disappointed and i am pretty sure i will not go back again…
The steak burrito was out of this world! The service was good and the people were very nice.
How hard is it to get an order right? I’ve here many many times but the last few times I’ve order, they messed up my order each time. In what world is a grilled FISH taco a tacquito? If you want to get what you actually ordered, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Prepared to be disappointed.
Monday BOGO on Al pastor Tacos. You can beat eating a real taco for $1.25 reminds me of the good ole days when some of the tacos places started opening up in Columbus for that price 10-15 years ago. The churros are delicious as well along with Horchata. I popped in and got it to go during a lunch rush. It was busy but service was quick and the food was tasty. I really like the inside of this place as well. I brought my 4 yr old and it was kid friendly.
