It’s unfortunate that I’m having to go this route since their food is great. But living behind this location and being kept awake for many nights for hours well past midnight warrants being fed up. The staff and management don’t care that their patrons are literally screaming in the parking lot. This location is open much later than some of the others that are near residential areas. Despite contacting this location in the past and getting insincere messages about their efforts to be respectful of their neighbors, Local Cantina in Grandview continues to allow drunk, belligerent, loud, screaming customers to carry on from 11pm-4am any night they are open. Their management clearly doesn’t care because they’re not on site, are unwilling to lose revenue by closing earlier, and don’t have to personally deal with losing sleep. Also, considering that there are many healthcare workers that live in the surrounding buildings, you’d think LC would have some sense of decency to make improvements to respect that those people deserve and need adequate rest.
I can’t think of a better place Id rather go for taco Tuesday! Everything was so so good, service was amazing and fast, specially taking in consideration how busy they were (duh, taco Tuesday night!)

This place used to be a favorite of mine, they had great service, drinks and food. But like most things Post Pandemic, they have changed and not for the better. So hopefully as time goes on they will get back to their past greatness. Right now it's mediocre. Food is suffering, drinks are inconsistent and service well that's hit or miss. I'm hoping it will turn around but for right now this is the best I can give them. And to put the nail in the coffin... when I got my check the server said "I hope you liked your high priced Taco Bell" ... I think he was trying to be funny but I wasn't laughing.
My friend and I have had tacos from LC Grandview many times. Usually very tasty. However, we had it this week, and, within 36 hours, we both got severe food poisoning at the exact same time. Never going back.
Service was great and the bartenders were friendly and working hard. I always enjoy this place no matter the location. Good queso gives me life.
The food was very good. Our waitress was extremely nice. Love this place on Taco Tuesday night.
Fun atmosphere, I really enjoyed my crunch wheezy and Nashville hot chicken tacos. The flower child cocktail was yummy too. Not overly busy but it also was a Thursday afternoon ? unlimited, self serve chips and salsa is also a plus!
The chicken bacon ranch burrito was incredible! The vinaigrette that comes with it is the perfect compliment.
Anybody who has been to a truly traditional mexican eatery will tell you to avoid this place if thats what you're looking for. If you're looking for a bar where you can get passable drink combinations, and vaguely tex-mex food for dine-in, take-out, or delivery thats within an easy walk of Grandview central, or maybe your bleach-blonde mother needs a place where she wont have to worry about there be 'exotic spices' in their ethnic food... yeah sure, knock yourself out Becky. Indoor atmosphere is pretty thoroughly 'white bread', and the food screams of 'white people taco night' with an extra helping of Whole Foods ingredients thrown in. Your time and dime are better spent going to Taco Bell or Chipotle, or instead go a bit more out of your way to finding a small, traditional, family owned place.
