This was THE BEST seafood dining experience I've ever had. The place was very clean and our server Hannah was amazing!!! I had the fried catfish po boy and the hush puppies and when I tell you this tasted JUST LIKE THE SOUTH, IT MOST DEFINITELY TASTED JUST LIKE THE SOUTH. I often travel to Tennesse and Mississippi and the food is usually more heartier, comforting, and delish in the south however, THIS PLACE HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD when it comes to getting that same southern cuisine taste. The cajun fries were some of the best and not only was the portion size of the seafood boil bag was OUT OF THIS WORLD, but the taste of the boiled, crawfish, crab, corn, and potatoes that were also in the bag. The vibe of the place was amazing all the way down to the music selection and the movies that were playing on the TV screen. This will be my new favorite spot to eat in Columbus!!
We have been to the place since they opened and Its sad that I am just posting a review just now. Their garlic butter crabs and shrimp is to die for, Go Big! I lb per person is ideal for me. Enjoy!!!
The oysters were good sized. The seafood boil tasted good but we didn’t get very much food for what we paid for
Horrible for carry-out!!! Didn’t include all food ordered, wanted additional pound of shrimp & sausage with different seasoning than Duo purchased, everything was thrown in same bag. Catfish was dripping grease. Called to advise and was told to bring it back and they would correct, but with gas prices and 30+ min drive each way, was going to compensate with some potatoes……NEVER AGAIN!!!!!.
So my wife and I split the "Ultimate" Experience which for $52 includes: 1 lb crawfish, 1 lb shrimps (head on), doz. andouille sausage, 1/2 lb clams, 2 corn & 2 potatoes, 1/2 lb snow crab, fried calamari. For an additional $9 we opted to have our shrimp peeled and heads off for convenience. The fried calamari came out first and was excellent, as was the andouille sausage. Everything else in our boil (although tasty and photogenic) was overcooked and a little tough. Overall not the quality we were expecting. The atmosphere also leaves a lot to be desired as fake brick wall décor predominates along with an above average noise level.
The place is probably like any other sea food place, but the reason I like it and go there every month is...their House Juice Sauce, with Extra Spicy option with 1 lb of heading shrimp. It's an experience, u've to immerse yourself into. It can't be explained in a review.
*things to note*(I don't eat seafood but my husband does.)(go here food the seafood everything else kinda sucks)I'll start with it was freezing inside, I know it's snowing outside but it was almost the same temperature as it was outside. Next our waitress was nice but seemed not to care. When we got our started my husband asked for his calamari to come out with it. But the waitress asked if we wanted the hush puppies cause they were finished. We said yes so they were cold by the time the calamari was brought out. The hush puppies are absolutely amazing! My husband calamari didn't come out until after we had finished them, he like it. The rest came very quick after. The Cesar salad was sour. She said that it's normal for them, the chicken tender were gross and served on a bed of Lettuce, I dont know why. The cole slaw had so much mayo, my husband got the ultimate he enjoys seafood very much and loved his food he got hot and was unable to finish his meal but he said 5 stars I would choose 1 star we were meeting in the middle.
Amazing food, but be ready to get dirty!! This place it mainly finger food! Way too many options, ive been here several times and still haven't tried everything I want to try!
the food was over cook and the Sauce was nasty. I will never come back there again. Cajun seafood boil is better
Delicious seafood, crab legs, lobster and more… the seasonings are awesome and the quality is fresh. But bring your credit card, because like most seafood restaurants worth visiting, this place is not cheap to eat here.
