I wanna give a four for food but it's hard to get past this when the phone server was looking for a fight or for me to say never mind I don't want the food. Im. Thankful they were open to serve me but the dispute as I only wanted to place an order after work was a ridiculous. She argued me down but was on speakerphone and obviously didn't realize her own fault as to the fact that I couldn't understand her as she was possibly too far from the phone. Sarcastic and rude and told why are you ordering here f we so rude on top of the other disrespectful things she said UNNECESSARILY as I legit brought no dispute argument or disagreement to her. I'm going to get my food and pray she didn't do anything foul. I kindly told the lady that I've been buying meals from the owner for many years now and that I enjoy the food is the reason that I still can you order here and once again she tried to let me have it. I just don't understand why the service is so terrible. OMG the food is absolutely great. They have a very diverse menu. I got the center ribs, turnip greens with turkey and yams. So much for my diet. The prices are very reasonable
This place would get a better rating if it were not for the service and my order being wrong DESPITE me repeating my order. The the young lady had the nerve to tell me I need to come in when I asked her what her sides were ( I called to place my order) or look online. Not professional at all. This is the second time I have had a problem with this place. 3x Will not be a charm for me.
We are visiting from California …Bad decision to get food from here. Bad quality, no taste, fish was soft fried still bendy, cabbage was cold (should have been hot). Save yourself and money go to Chruches or Popeyes. We trashed the food and and went to PF Chang?
First off, they have an online menu through Postmates- which is inaccurate as can be. They have no website at all to reflect an accurate menu. My order took over an hour to fill- which was wrong too. Customer service was nice at first and then rude. Many people in the restaurant were waiting on their orders. I only gave it 2 stars because the ribs and Mac were pretty good.. but was only warm by the time I got it. The place seemed really disorganized and unprofessional. It's too bad.. it had potential. I will not be returning.
Our first time here. We waited 30 minutes or more for our food. Pinto beans were definitely too salty. Turkey ribs was cool but the bbq sauce was trash. Potato salad and cabbage was trash, yams not good they had a funny taste.Cake was a pink dish sponge with strawberry icing.
The rib tips were very good, the collard greens could use some salt but I'm pretty sure they have seasonings set out. The Mac n cheese was good also. Very good customer service, and I felt like I was eating at my grandma's with the fam!
I haven't been to this restaurant in awhile. I was excited to let my Mother have a soul food experience here in Columbus. To my surprise it was garbage! I didn't receive the entire order. And one of my sides mashed potatoes. It literally was a pile of gravy with no potatoes at all! I was traveling from another side of town where there is No soul food. I tried calling several times only to keep being placed on hold with no resolution. This spot has definitely changed the the food quality is not worth the trip. On those days where you just don't feel like cooking, but you want a home cooked experience. This is not your spot!
Very disappointed on how management responded when we addressed our dissatisfaction of our order. I ordered there special - 4 wings, 2 ribs, and 1 fish. When I received my order it was only 4 wing dings versus the whole wings.When addressing this issue with owner/manager he indicated, “that’s the beat I can do. I got these from the Mexicans up the street”. I was totally shocked. He then stated, “prices are high”.I stated, “we understand that prices are high, however this isn’t the customers problem. Let your customers know prior to ordering and paying.” The owner/manger stated, “it’s not my problem either”.We will NEVER eat here again. This was rude and Lawshas Restaurant clearly do not value their customers based on this service.
I've eating here two times the first time I went was because I was next door getting my lashes done I got a hamburger that wasn't seasoned the greens were okay I guess the mac and cheese was it tastes like the mac and cheese that's $0.89 at the grocery store it was not very good the fries were soggy and unseasoned the second time I went I ordered two hamburgers I was just extremely hungry they gave me one hamburger and the other was a pork chop that I didn't even ask for I didn't notice until I went to open the food the hamburger was nasty again but the pork chop was really good I love my black owned businesses but unfortunately the food is never season and they're not very polite when you walk in they look at you like what do you want you can have that attitude if the food is much better I gave it a try twice and unfortunately I will not be back their food cost too much to taste like that?
