The restaurant inside has an African charm. Well, I have never been there. But from my vlog/ documentary watching experience I felt that a jolly bar like casual vibe is much close to an African, rustic vibe. When we were there, there was no ethnically different people, other than Africans. Later on a white couple arrived, but it seems the place is mostly catered for African people. So their food must be authentic. The service is super slow. The lady didn’t bother much to serve us. However, the food was good. Both of us shared an entree where beef, spinach, lentils, etc was being served on top of injera ( African bread made from rice/ tapioca? ) in other tables people were having a fried fish, which looked to yum! Next time I am going to try that. Overall, we liked the place and wish to go back soon.
The food here is out of sight! I cannot say enough good things about it. I came in from out of town and got a recommendation to go here as the top Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant in Columbus. Frankly, they undersold it. It is the best Ethiopian/Eritrean food that I've had in years! The veggies, fish, injera - you name it, all amazing. Add on superb service. I'll certainly be back. Horrible services and please don't get their shiro. It is literally full of garlic, no flavor, for 11 dollars they give a very small portion, overall a disgusting food. You can see the little garlics on the picture and the garlic is not cooked all the way. Very disappointed
Friday 12/10/2021 was the last time I will be giving this establishment anymore of my business. I've been coming here religiously 1-4 times a month the last 2.5 years. It's like clockwork almost every Friday. I order the same thing and pay the same amount. And almost every time the customer service is top notch. Until Friday evening. The young lady with the braces behind the bar. That by far was the worst interaction I've had to date with this restaurant and it was enough not to come back. I placed an order for pick up, showed up at the time she said it would be ready. Ignored me for a while, finally asked what I was there for, ignored me some more, tells me they made my meal wrong, bags my meal after a total of 1.25 hours from the time I called and placed the order. Then I get home and I didn't get all my order but was charged for it. Remember I come there like clockwork and get the same thing. She told she didn't charge me for anything extra and there wasn't nothing she could do. I called back several times to no avail. I'm done with this place. It only took this horrible experience.
Always an amazing experience.The prices are awesome, the service is great, and it's quite genuine and authentic.Definitely check this place out.

Definitely one of the best Ethiopian food experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible even after a 2+ hour drive home.
Going to start by letting you know I’ve never ate at an Ethiopian restaurant before, so know that while reading the review. Service was good. Nothing exceptional, but adequate. Place seemed quite run down, but some “hole in the wall” places that seem run down can be quite good. Won’t make the food bad, just letting you know you don’t need to dress up. ;) Anyhow, I got a mixed platter, and I’m not all sure what was on it. The meat (I assume goat) was seasoned and cooked well and had a nice bite to it. Most everything else, I found to be fairly bland, considering it’s clear they know how to jazz things up. The only thing o really did not care for at all, was the injera. Was not a fan of those spongy rolled things. Now, keep in mind, I’ve heard this place is good, and some of the reasons I may have not cared for things was due to the ethnical differences as opposed to quality if I had a true taste for Ethiopian. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3, because I know others that have ate here and feel they do a good job.
