Absolutely LOVE King Gryos, I miss coming here more often but the quality of food is amazing and the family that owns it works it making this place a HUGE source of pride and let me tell you it shows!!!! And the Greeks ate against people being hungry so portions are huge!!! Always have leftovers... Thank you for the great meal as it has put a smile on my face and my moms!
I moved from Florida to Columbus Ohio in January 2022, within the first 30 day's new to the city I have eaten at KING GYROS GREEK RESTAURANT 4 times. My first visit was February 14th to celebrate Valentine's Day with my sister in Christ, we are both pescatarians (vegetarians who eat seafood) it was refreshing that their menu offers an array of items for our pesky diet. We ordered multiple items that were served with shareable portions. The following three visits has been consistent with the first in terms of food freshness, food portions, food appearance, food texture, food taste, and best of all the service. All of the staff have sweet personalities, serving clients with diligence and patience in their position to provide each individual with supreme service. My favorite experience of visiting the restaurant is having the opportunity to fellowship with the owner and head chef Mr Yianni whom we have officially adopted as our uncle. Each visit has been warm and welcoming as a family Thanksgiving dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who seek an authentic Mediterranean / Greek food experience! By the way, don't forget to stop by the case of deductible desserts on your way out, my recommendations are the strawberry cheesecake baklava and the honey nut cake!!
I usually take pictures anticipating to leave a detailed review of the food/experience, but I just figured this place would be a random fast food spot not worth reviewing. Boy, was I wrong. We smashed everything so quick because we were hungry but also because everything was DELICIOUS. We got the lamb chops, lamb kabob, gyro, grape leaves, stuffed cabbage, and baklava. I would come back here and get the same exact order, without the gyro. The gyro was good, but everything else was just SO much better. Lamb was very flavorful, baklava was moist, grape leaves and stuffed cabbage filling was very meaty and warm. Food came out quick and the owner had good recommendations. Definitely will be coming back. Best Greek food I have found after 8 years of living in Columbus.
I've probably sampled food at every Greek restaurant in Columbus and my dish was different from regular gyros which most others do not prepare. A base of rice, greens, tomatoes, chicken, a sauce, cilantro and feta on top. Absolutely delicious and I would certainly order again. The mango tea was yummy. The desserts: I can't rave enough about the pecan honey or nutella baklavas. I wish I could have sampled every offering in the case. Don't miss this place!! Outdoor dining available as well.
I really like this place. This experience only is a 2 star. Found two hairs in my food. I know things happen but please wear hair nets if you are going to handle food. I could not finish my meal. ?
I had a grilled salmon salad ... what a great flavor ... just excellent! If you're looking for the best Greek good you must visit King Gyros. Oh, an the baklava is to die for!!!
Since we moved to Columbus last year, King Gyro’s has proven to be consistently great. Delicious food and great service.Tonight, I placed an online order and the restaurant did not see it in their system. Turns out, it was my error - I did not complete the placing the order on the website. They were SO accommodating. The young lady took my order at the counter, and no one made me feel silly for my mistake (although I was kicking myself). The food was done quickly and everything was perfect!Thanks for going above and beyond, King Gyros!
Always an amazing experience when me and my family eat here. Even if you just do take out you feel like family here. Delicious food that's great for a quick snack or a grand dinner (my usual birthday meal is here haha). Can't recommend this place enough!
Not only is the food here fantastic, but the owners and staff have not given in to the paranoia and government propaganda concerning face masks. Yay King Gyros!
Superb amount of lamb beef meat on the king gyro. Also, the decor inside this place is beautifully well painted. You can even spot a sign for where Athens, Syros, Mykonos, and Santorini are.
