Had Johnnie's for the first time recently, and based on the reviews had high expectations.We weren't at all disappointed, but maybe a bit surprised.I expected something of a gimmick, but instead the burgers were "simple". Nothing to make them stand out, or different from what you would normally expect in a hamburger, just artfully prepared.On my Johnnie's burger with provolone and bacon; the patty was hand formed, cooked very evenly and not overly greasy. The bacon was crispy, and all the veggies were fresh and thoughtfully portioned and placed. Our sides were all perfectly cooked as well: very crispy without being over cooked.You can tell they take pride in the process. We'll definitely be coming back!
Great little local bar. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. The food is fairly typical bar food but always comes out good. The burger gets a lot of praise and it definitely deserves it. The tap selection is a little limited but they always have something on tap that I have liked.So if you are just looking for a towny bar to hang out at and get some drinks and a burger it's worth giving a try.
Home of the Super Burger and coldest beer in town! Great joint to grab a drink after work and hang out and chat with the patrons, bartenders and owners. Very cozy. Very chill. Always interesting and welcoming. You can go in alone and be chatting with new friends in minutes.
Have been going here for years and to me, this is the best cheeseburger I have had in Central Ohio and quite honestly anywhere else. The service was fast and courteous. Love this place and the old school bar atmosphere. A real gem.
Heard they had the best burgers in town and have been wanting to try for a while. Unfortunately, it was pretty average as far as burgers go. Service and tavern vibe was good.
It is a small dive bar. I typically find that to be a good thing. There was nothing bad about the place but everything was just ok. There us nothing that will stand out to me or I will remember tomorrow.
Go to Johnnie's Tavern! Very good bar food, servings are generous, they have tator tots. Need I say more?
