Food is great, a step above normal pub fare. The beer selection is slightly bigger than standard, a few nice craft options. Can tell they choose carefully what they put on tap. And have a good beer bottle/can selection or wine from a bottle of you somehow don't like the draft selection.
I ate a delicious meal recently [2-25-2022] at Jimmy V's Grill & Pub Grandview.I had been there that evening because a friend of mine had been hosting a "Meet and Greet" event at that location with a woman from Ohio who is running for the U.S. Senate. My original plan for that evening had been to eat supper somewhere else and then to attend the "Meet and Greet" event at Jimmy V's Grill & Pub Grandview. I then learned [from their website] that Jimmy V's Grill & Pub Grandview serves a great variety of food so I looked at their menu on-line, made my food choice before I had arrived, and then arrived an hour early so that I would be able to eat supper, take some pictures for Google Maps, and then attend the "Meet and Greet" event. My food choice, "Jimmy V's Mac & Cheese" ["Our creamy pub mac & cheese topped with our grilled house-made sausage, peppers & onions"] [$18], had been delicious and had been quite different from any other macaroni and cheese that I have ever eaten. The cheese sauce had been white [rather than the more-traditional yellow]; the use of sausage in macaroni and cheese had been completely new to me; the noodles had been long "corkscrew" noodles [rather than the traditional "elbow macaroni"].Sitting next to me at the bar, while I had been eating my macaroni and cheese, had been an older woman who has lived in that neighborhood for her entire life. We spoke, for the next several minutes, about the many different locations in that area where I have visited over the years. When I told the older woman that I remember my family having eaten at the former Cenci's Italian restaurant [diagonally across the intersection with Glenn Ave. from where we had been sitting] during my childhood [the late 1950s and early the 1960s], she told me that members of the Cenci family were eating at Jimmy V's Grill & Pub Grandview right then. We walked up to the Cenci table; I then spoke with several members of the Cenci family for a brief moment before returning to the bar to finish eating my macaroni and cheese. The location of the former Cenci's Italian restaurant [1773 W. Fifth Ave.] later became Geem Loong [a Chinese restaurant] and most recently became Peking Dynasty [also a Chinese restaurant] [that, according to Google Maps, is "temporarily closed"].The "Meet and Greet" with the candidate for the U.S. Senate from Ohio began, several minutes after I had finished my macaroni and cheese, in a room at the east end of the property that appears to be a cigar store during the day and a private dining room for Jimmy V's Grill & Pub Grandview during the evening.
Excellent food and nice outdoor patio. Inside is great for small groups (4 or less) and sitting at the bar. Possible extra room for large groups with advanced notice.
Came here for lunch, great environment and even better service. Philly cheese steak with chicken was on point. Everything was clean and organized. It is a little pricy. But so isn't every place in Columbus, id recommend to a friend for sure
My first time there..but not my last. Great food and friendly staff..
Grilled salmon BLT, home made chips, excellent draught coffee stout... This is my local pub, now! At least while in Upper Arlington!
Food and service were good. Seating is uncomfortable and the tables, because of their odd shape, are not designed for enjoying a meal out with friends.
Good atmosphere. Fried calamari is tasty.
Our waitress was superb. Friday night back patio 9/24/2021, around 8:45. Restrooms- men's no paper towels. Dispensers are flimsy.
Just happenstance we stopped. All reviews regarding Jimmy's gyro are true. Worked in a Greek restaurant. Homemade meat!! Put that in your pipe and smoke it Kronos. Not kidding, about everything: Service, Quality, beautifully cared for establishment! Thank You!
