Food is quite delicious. Especially the jerked chicken.
my first time going to this place walking up the music was on point best Jamaican food I ever ate in Columbus keep it up the Mac& cheese & jerk chicken omg to die for everything so bomb ?
I’ve gone to this place a handful of times, gotten to talk to most everyone there, an extended Jamaican family getting their first ever restaurant going.Everything is great. When they are out of something I want, I get something else. Who knew oxtail or goat were so delicious? They also have these house-made “beef patties” which are like empanadas that are tasty and their curry is bomb! The side jerk sauce is perfectly spicy with a little sweet tang finish, good on everything including their jerk chicken. Hopefully they will start bottling it for sale? They get busy sometimes and everything is cooked to order by 2 chefs, so the wait time can vary, but they always seem to be getting quicker. Love all the flavors here!
This restaurant is the place to eat Jamaican food , the taste is superb its the Jamaican spice for me .the service is great. I would recommend this spot all day everyday lunchtime and dinnertime or grab a patty to go
I've tried all the other Jamaican spots in Columbus but hands down Jerky's is #1. They have the best oxtail I've ever had (Besides my grandmothers) lol But I highly recommend everyone to try ?
Second time around, clean, very friendly atmosphere. I tried a new menu item and it was pretty good. The rice was good too but for me it had a lil too much spice and the beans needed to cook just a tad bit more. To give a true review tho I need to taste everything on the menu ? lol I'll definitely be back!
I'm giving it 4 stars because it has the potential to be 4 or 5. I can only imagine how complicated it is to open a restaurant in the pandemic and I have a feeling Jerky's is struggling with the same staffing issues as other places. The service was pretty slow, but they were nice.My boyfriend and I both got jerk chicken and was pleased to see its dry (not stewed, which isn't authentic). It was pretty good, although a teensy bit dry, and again I think it has the potential to be great. The rice and peas weren't bad and the plantains were well fried, although not quite ripe enough (again, I give them a pass with the supply chain issues). I definitely recommend you get the jerk gravy on the side, it was delicious. They were out of the house made juices but we'll for sure try them next time. Their beef patties looked delicious but we didn't get them this time.Overall, I recommend Jerky's for sure and hope it will continue to get better. ??
Let me tell y’all about this place cause you guys need to try it…it’s very clean, friendly but not too big…The food is very delicious, the jerk chicken and the curry goat are hands down, that was a very good experience and I will go back for sure.
The food is great. absolutely love the jerk chicken and the cabbage is the bomb.?
If I could give 0 stars I would because this is terrible. I was really looking forward to trying this place so I ordered and paid online just get there and still have to wait 20 mins just for my food not to be ready and them to be out of white rice also the food is not authentic Jamaican chicken doesn’t seem like it’s grilled and sauce is cold on the side and nasty. I posted my plate my order was a large and I had 3 small pieces of chicken. Not worth the money!
