A wonderful experience! Everything that you expect when dining out. Great food and excellent service. My family, party of 20, visited on Sunday, July 3rd, and we were seated together immediately even though we did not have a reservation. This was after an appalling experience of rude staff behavior across the parking lot at another restaurant. Alex's salad was delicious and I wish I had ordered more of that tender chicken! Everyone fully enjoyed their meals. Thank you for your professionalism. It was the perfect ending to cap off a family wedding weekend.

4.5 StarsDespite all the negative reviews we went to J Alexander's in Easton for a birthday lunch (Sunday at 2:30 pm). We were very happy with our experience.Service: seated promtply. The server was excellent, attentive, responsive and pleasant. Food delivered promptly.Food: Ratings by each individual in my party:Filet Mignon and Fries. Decent cut of meat. A little fat. It needed a little salt for flavor but a 4.0Old Fashioned Cheeseburger: made to desired temperature. Great flavor. 4.5Southern Chicken Platter. Was excellent. Side of French fries and very fresh cole slaw. 5.0Trout special. Was delicious and enjoyed by a very picky eater. 4.5Desert: As suggested by other reviewers we tried the carrot cake. It was absolutely amazing!! Probably the best you'll ever have. 5.0 SEE PICTURE.Value: party of four $127. Not bad especially given meal portions were generous. The only downside was the main menu selection was a bit on the lean side so it was a little challenging especially if you bring a child as there is no kids menu. But their daily specials menu offers nice options.Overall we'd rate the restaurant a 4.5. We're glad we went.

I came here specifically for the prime rib after reading the positive reviews online. The prime was okay (not very good or great). I found it to be a bit fatty, smaller in portion and tough to cut the fat off with the steak knife. Also, some parts were not so tender (was cooked medium). The macaroni and cheese was very good as a compliment, and the carrot cake was to die for (excellent)

There was a marvelous atmosphere right when you walked through the doors that the outside appearance betrayed. The service seemed confused however, with some on par with the best restaurants I have been to while others were clearly there to get done with the day. And it showed.Yet the food was such a surprise. I personally would not consider the prices worth the meal, but it was a step up from a certain chain roadhouse. At the middle through the end, we were rather disappointed that our service quality dropped off exponentially and only saw him every now and again and we had to wait for a substantial amount of time to get our check, then again took so long for him to come and grab it that we had to ask the main desk if we pay the tab to her. She had to go and grab him and even then it took him a while to bring it to us. Mind you that it was a slower night with the crowd dying down. He even had the dessert brought out by someone else.

I had hopes because of the reviews. My favorite cut of meat is prime rib, when I ordered it, it looked nothing like the picture. I asked for medium and it was a little too bloody and salty for my input. I asked for mashed potatoes which they didn’t have anymore but they had baked potatoes? Seems a little lazy to me. And the macaroni and cheese… it was okay, not too bad but the flavor of onion was a little intense. I went with my friend and they over cooked his steak when he asked for medium. Over all experience though, I love the set up. They have lit candles on their table, they kept me warm which I liked.

My husband and I had lunch at J. Alexander's in the Easton Shops area. The food was fabulous. We were definitely not disappointed. We had the steak rolls, French dip sandwich and split an Alex salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing. Jack provided top notch service.

This was a great experience. Surprisingly good food and service. We stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was busy! And with good reason: the chicken and pork dishes we ordered had great flavor profiles and generous portions. Sushi for appetizers were also very good. Our server was very attentive and prompt. The only let down were the cocktails. Seemed weak and overall not as great as expected based on the description. Food and drink also are priced well, offering good value.Overall, liked it a lot and we will definitely be back.

Our hotel recommended this place.. it was very busy. Waiting list for 1 hour. So it’s better if you make a reservation in advance. You can also sit and eat on the bar (no reservation needed just wait until you see a free spot and sit)Food and wine was as expected.Atmosphere was really nice and everyone of the service team were very friendly.

Book a table from Miami for my first visit to Columbus, OHIO , the place is super elegant, the staff is very friendly and professional, the food is exquisite, located near the hotel and the main shops, we walked, I recommend it
