I stop here about every 4-6 weeks. Never had a dish I didn't like. Although I like things like the French Dip, I have narrowed my focus to the two best items: ribs & onion rings. Their Tuesday rib special means I can order the exact amount I want. Sadly, my appetite continues to shrink with age, but 2 or 3 bones of the best ribs in town is a treat. Also, they serve the BEST onion rings I've had in many years.
Always looking for good barbeque, and Iron Grill is currently among my top places. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, which has a decent amount of smoke and the portion fairly meaty. Typically I have a couple tastes of the pork without anything, and it does stand well on it's own. But I do like to try sauces, as well, and they offer two. Spicy, which is a Carolina style, vinegar based sauce that has a nice piquant taste, that ended up being my favorite. Sweet, is a Kansas City style sauce, still tasty, but not a real standout, like the other. The pulled pork came with a garnish of coleslaw, which plays well with the Spicy sauce. I had the BBQ beans on the side. And I finished up with the bread pudding and ice cream for dessert, something I will look forward to during future visits.I went wearing my new tie-dye dress, and was treated appropriately, always a plus.
First time eating here, just got nachos on a Saturday when they opened. Server was friendly and food was quick. Nachos were good! Smothered in brisket chili and topped with pulled pork. Decent size portion that fed two of us.
Completely baffled at the amount of good reviews here. We decided to eat here because of all the good reviews but wow, what a regret.Upon entering, you're greeted with a musty, urine smell. Place had a few others inside and some at the bar, but it wasn't too busy. It took 10 minutes to get seated and then another 20 minutes to even get our server to come over and give us drinks. Our server was... something else. She kept reaching down between her thighs and tugging her shorts down while taking our order. She was also ridiculously slow and inept. She brought our drinks and walked away and it took another 20 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. She was standing around, made eye contact several times before FINALLY coming over. Her only other table behind us was upset and the husband wanted to leave but the wife didn't. Wish we would've left, too.The food is not worth it. At all. The photos on their website are fake and do not reflect the actual photos of the food they serve. Everyone's meat tasted doggy (probably didn't help they had the back door to the kitchen open), the buns soggy and falling apart, and the sides of fries / tots were gross. They tasted like they were cooked in really old grease. There was some black specks inside the salt shaker, not sure what that was about... might have been pepper, might have been bugs. Wasn't wanting to find out. The BBQ sauce they provide was OK.100% NOT worth it. Save your money and try another BBQ place... not to sound like a hypocrite, but don't let the 5 star reviews fool you like they did us.
Every time I come here I have the same experience, I leave feeling like the food was good & I got a good deal for what we ordered. So no complaints there. Where my star is lacking is execution. Maybe it's just the lack of management or whatever but, nobody seems with it. I've worked in the service industry so I'm not being out of line here. It's sort of a hot mess. I just wish they'd hire someone with some sense to organize the FOH & I think this place could be so fire. Again, the service is great, there's just something lacking that could take it next level.
Visit almost every week with family and friends and always have great food. Large selection, portions are big enough for dinner the next day. Outdoor dining is a treat. Friendly people.
Morgan was awesome! The brisket and tots was so filling and flavorful! Brought a bud in for his first time and he wants back soon!!
Everything was delicious! First time dining in.Wings were Carolina flavored which was a spicier sauce. Pulled pork spring rolls were amazing. The perfect crispiness. For main course had the pulled pork sandwich which was piled high. I chose to have the coleslaw on the side rather then on the sandwich. Lots of steak fries. Definitely worth what we paid. Our waiter was friendly and prompt. Will be back for sure.
Delicious as always. I had the Greek dinner salad with grilled chicken. It has plenty of veggies and feta and 4 - 5oz of grilled chicken on top.I also splurged and got dessert this time as almost all of their desserts are homemade. I went with apple pie á la mode.
Waited 10 minutes to be greeted, then was told to sit at any open table… waited fifteen minutes after we sat down, and watched three tables who sat down after us get their drinks. So, we left without any staff member giving us literally any service at all. Wouldn’t know how the food tastes.
