Always an awesome taste experience! Salt and pepper chicken wings are tasty spicey and meaty! I love the appetizer cho cho beef (beef on a stick) .. My husband loves their egg drop soup. I had to tell you I've never had a bad meal here ever the food is always stellar. Tonight I had the triple crown which is a spicy beef chicken and shrimp and peanut and Asian vegetable dish over fried rice, my husband had the chicken with snow pea pods and water chestnuts and bamboo shoots over steamed rice. Thank you a wonderful helpings of rice either fried or steamed and their cocktails are never over $7, and hit the right way! Which means they're a darn good pour and tasty as heck. Though other times we just like to have hot tea with our meals too. Tonight my husband had a seabreeze and I had a screwdriver. One word of warning, if you ever get their long island iced teas, which can be regular or flavored, they'll knock you for a loop so only order one and have a driver if you're not used to a strong drink. The Golden Phoenix is always affordable, high quality and just a great satisfying place to eat drink and be merry.
Service, drinks and food is always good.Excellent portions and did I mention GREAT DRINKS.And very reasonably priced.Clean ambiance with a healthy mature crowd always. Bar area is small but cool little spot for chatting and socializing with locals.
The food here is awesome! Wish their spicy stuff was a bit hotter but still delicious! Eat here every time I'm in Columbus!
Our waiter was top notch. Not fancy, but really attentive! Food fresh and delicious!
I've been eating Golden Phoenix since I was a kid. This may have been the last time, unfortunately. Although the food was hot and fresh, there were NO vegetables in either my fried rice nor my General Tso's chicken. It was bland tasting. I don't even think this is fried rice. It's just white rice soaked in soy sauce. The hot and sour soup and egg roll were good. But I paid $20 and a $5 tip (cause it's NYE and they were busy) and it was NOT money well spent.
The food was good I ordered beef lo mein it was no beef and all vegetables I didn't want any vegetables and if I know it came with that I would have just ordered plain noodles
Used to be a favorite for my family.I hadn't been there in about 15 years.I went for carry out because I was passing by.The waiting area was quite dirty!I ordered beef chop suey. Very little beef in it. I did not like it! Couldn't eat it! A 100% waste of my money.I also ordered won ton soup _ which also used to be a favorite. Yuckky! No taste to the broth or won tons. I opened one of the won tons and inside were 2 little pieces of meat-each were smaller than the fingernail on my pinky.( gross thought but that was my visual at the time.) My dog wouldn't even eat it.I will never go back there again. I was so very disappointed!!!
They have the best chicken wings ! And the lettuce wraps are amazing .
Wayyy Better than the one on the other side of Morse. . . The Chicken wings and Moo shu are the only things I ever get, but they are great. Take a shot at the bar lol
Great spot its worth the price... One of the best Chinese restaurant in town to serve you up some spicy chicken wings.... I must admit though the space is kind of a bit cramped... So thats why i gave them 4 stars???
