Nice claustrophobic atmosphere that is constantly bustling and packed full of people. On first glance, this would be a negative, (and it is a big negative if you are in a hurry) but I find it to be part of the fun of going here. The food is pretty good as well and has a nice home cooked simplicity to it so there isnt anything too risky or demanding of a customer.I will say that I think the french toast pricing is a little odd as a single small slice of French Toast is the same price as a gigantic pancake.Another small criticism is due to the compact nature of the restaurant, there are only a few people working at any time which can lead to some long wait times for food; however, part of the fun is being able to sit and chat with friends for a while and enjoy the mood.
My husband and I visited this shop for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, which was having a neighborhood sidewalk sale, while we waited. Service was friendly and it was fun watching the cooks work. We both enjoyed our food - pancakes, eggs and a breakfast sandwich. Everything tasted great. This is a great little spot in German Village!

Amazing people, excellent food. Everyone was super friendly. You can sit at the counter and watch your food being cooked and chat with the cook. They're open early in the morning and there's actually parking (parallel) close to the front door.I was in town for business and had breakfast here. If it was up to me, I would have come back for lunch.Next time I'm in town, I won't bother wasting half an hour looking for a place to eat, I'll just come straight here. 10/10, would buy again in a heartbeat.
I had three pancakes when I was here. There was a little bit of wait. I had one of them beat the pancake of the month, which was cherry cordial. It was delicious, came with chocolate and cherries that were split. It tasted remarkably like a cordial Cherry. I also had a blueberry pancake and a pecan pancake. It was so much that I couldn't finish but it was very good. The staff were nice and talked and joked with us. I would recommend this coffee shop for a bite to eat in the morning, and also will come back again in the near future!
Eggs should not be cooked till brown. Its not meat. My omelet was spongy brown. Please, please, learn how to cook eggs! $15 for a breakfast i couldn't eat.
Best breakfast you can get in columbus. Love the comfort food and vibe you get. Cant beat the prices!
There is something about this place that keeps bringing me back, despite the waits, parking, distance. I am not sure if its the owner/operator vibe that this gives, the best bacon ive ever had, waffles made of unicorn tears? whatever the reason is I will for sure be back again. If your ever in the area (or even if not) stop in and see what I mean.
Didn’t get a chance to take more pics of the food-we dug in as soon as it came out! Friendly staff, tasty bacon, and a warm room on a chilly morning. Even saw a raindeer pancake with a red cherry nose come by for a young diner! A neighborhood joint I’m glad we finally checked out!
The place was quaint and small dim lit but very nice and inviting. The waitress was friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent my entire bill for breakfast was only $13 worth every penny. I highly recommend the small hometown restaurant.
