Recommended by a family member and they did not disappoint. I ordered the jerk chicken dinner w/ mac n cheese, cabbage, and rice and beans. Food was delicious, portions were great, and friendly service. I'll definitely be back to try the oxtails!!!!
Nothing but slop. The macaroni tastes like water (not baked at all with non al dente noodles), the coco bread looks like pressed hamburger buns, the cabbage was okay but overall I wouldn’t serve this food to anyone. To top it all off Ms. Ena was RUDE!
After trying to place a large order with another restaurant and receiving awful customer service, I did some research and found Miss Enas…… we live about an hour away, but I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday with a Jamaican Feast! I called and told her all I was looking for and she was able toAccommodate all of it and more!!!! It was amazing and I will drive an hour anyday again for her!!! We had servings of oxtail, jerk chicken, jerk shrimp, rice and beans, cabbage, collards, plantains, corn bread, patties, Mac n cheese and I wish I had chosen even more items!!!! I cannot waitTo return and try all the items on her menu because if what we already tasted was that amazing, I can only imagine that it is all that good! Thank you Miss Ena!!!!!
When I tell you them oxtail and curry goat was sssssooooooooo delicious, ooowwweeee!!! ??? The staff was cool, the restaurant was clean, as soon as you walk in you smell all the flavors of Caribbean. ?? I had collard greens and homemade macaroni and cheese (yes, homemade) as my sides, so scrumptious. I will be back again.
I was told this place was popular. First time here and it was definitely packed. I ordered oxtails and cabbage. My family ordered beef tips and collard greens. I even got some coco bread. The oxtails and cabbage were not up to par. They were bland. Collard greens were good. Beef tips were tasty but very fatty. I did like that Ms. Ena's grandson was the cashier. He looked about 7. Very nice and professional young man. Great to see youth helping out!
I haven't been to Ena's in some years but the food tastes the same. I had the bbq jerked chicken, Mac & cheese and collard greens. I just wish the jerked chicken had a little more kerked to it.
The cabbage is horrible and bland the meat was good but I won’t be back the girl with the glasses is so dry and attitude is horrible she shouldn’t be allowed to work the counter I won’t be back
Easily one of the best hidden gems of Columbus! Will you wait at least 20 minutes? Yes. Will you be confused by parking arrangements? Absolutely. Will you wonder if you should just eat somewhere else? Without question. But you should ignore ALL of those inclinations and be patient because amazing Jamaican food comes to those who wait. We’ve been coming here for years and the food is ALWAYS fresh, ALWAYS delicious, and ALWAYS worth whatever wait there might be. Clear 30-45 minutes of your day and get ready for some incredible eats!
This is a pretty decent/popular spot with authentic flavors and dishes; there's definitely a Jamaican chef or two in that kitchen. I went on a Sunday, early afternoon -- service was pretty slow and they ran out of several menu items. They did have some really interesting sounding daily specials. The curry goat I landed on had a good portion. I thought it relied too heavily on salt and that masked/overpowered some of the other good flavors. I've meant to give Ena's a second try for quite a while now, but don't spend much time in that area. Nonetheless, they're probably worthy of it.
Had to update review.... this place has completely went downhill... none of it has flavor anymore.. at all.. even the jerk chicken just taste like chicken that has been in the grill.. no flavor.. cabbage didn't even have pepper. Old Mac and cheese They went from the best to worst Jamaican food.. trust me.. better of going to island vibes!!
