I happened to find this candy shop when I looked for buckeye chocolate for my friends who visited Columbus. I was so glad that I went there because James was friendly, and the assorted chocolates he picked for me were so delicious. Since it was my first time being there, he even let me try a buckeye they made. It was so fresh and not overly sweet!They ran out of assorted boxes due to COVID-19, but James tried his best to wrap my chocolate assortment beautifully. They also sell cards that go perfectly with boxes.You might be worried when you step in and find out they don't have a fancy interior design. However, it's a fourth-generation store that provides you old-fashioned candies, be prepared to chat and greet in an old-fashioned way. Welcome to stop by and support this historically local small business. You would never be disappointed.
I love this store. The owners are super nice, generous, and hard working. The best candy that they make are the buckeyes in my opinion.They are truly the best I have ever had. I know for a fact that DeeDee, the owner, uses only the finest chocolate you can get which makes them extra delicious. The turtles ( Eaglettes) are also excellent. James is a talented candy artist. He designs some of their candy. I’m glad they were able to keep the store in its location. I’ve been shopping here for over ten years when I discovered the store while driving by.
