Love this place! Perfect spice level, very fresh and amazing mix of flavors.
After a huge issue with Uber eats & never receiving my order, I called Dakshin to place a pick-up order since I had a specific pregnancy craving for Chicken Tikka Masala. They had one of their own workers drive the order to my house after the catastrophe I went through with Uber. Food was amazing as always & I can’t thank you enough for being so kind to deliver to me!
Horrible! Don’t waste your money. We ordered chicken hyderabadi, paneer kadai, chicken and veg appetizers and chicken fried rice. Only chicken hyderabadi taste was ok, others are bad. Paneer was a disaster, tasted like dahi kadi. And finally chicken fried rice was missing. When I called (after 2 days, since we went on a vacation and there was no network), they said they can give another one. But I can’t drive back 90 miles to pickup $10 chicken fried rice, so I asked for refund. Now the fun part. The lady told owner is out of country, so they are not authorized and asked to call back after 1 month. I will call them back after 1 month, lets see..
Went their first time, they kept it clean. The interior was nice. Madras coffee is authentic must try. Food is a little above average. We ordered chole puri, and the puri was dripping oil. Garlic naan was soft and good. One nice thing is that they sell spices and masala in store, incase if you need some basic authentic masala for indian cooking. We will definitely give another try because we never know, the other items may be very good.
I wistfully stare out the window when I pass this place... Generous portions and enticing flavors! They'll commonly slip little bonuses in which is generous and has shown me many new dishes. Their spice level is right on, but be cautious when ordering for little kids. Their nutrition and dietary labeling is great--as a lactose intolerant its great that so many dishes can work with me. Their samosa chaat elicited little happy sounds after each bite, and I particularly liked their Kadai curry, kiddos liked the butter chicken (hard to go wrong with cream). For the quality of spices and ingredients the price was excellent.
One star is also too much. The food is tasteless. I literally had to send the food back, pay and get out. To everyone reading this review, you want decent Indian food, very flavorful just go to CUMIN & CURRY at Easton Morse Crossing down the street. The pictures of dishes on dakshinohio.com website no way resemble the actual food brought to the table

We placed an order for delivery. Before placing the order, I called and spoke to a lady asking if they can make two of the dishes not spicy as it would be children. They obliged and made them as requested. The Lemon Rice and Chicken Manchurian was good - the not spicy dishes as requested (especially the Lemon Rice had plenty of flavor). We also had Chicken 65 and Chicken Biryani. The Chicken 65 was good - we normally dip it in the cucumber yogurt - lots of flavor. The Chicken Biryani had just the right amount of spiciness and had lot of good flavor (plus the chicken was very tender). We will definitely be ordering again - but will call before placing our order.
Decreased their portion sizes by half and still charge the same price. Won’t be ordering from here again. Should not cost $50 for three items that ended up being in two containers the size of my fist.
