Creole Kitchen has yet to disappoint. Anytime I’m in or driving past Columbus, OH I make mission to order take out from this establishment. I typically order their 8 piece Creole Wings with a side of Mac n Cheese and Cabbage. By far one of my favorite place to eat in the Tri State area.
The food is great - not so much is the location. Restaurant is located in a small plaza and is basically a carryout business. The restaurant staff was friendly and courteous. Food was served in generous proportions and very hot. For those who enjoy authentic dishes in the spirit of New Orleans, you won't be disappointed. Recommend you call ahead for your order so that you don't have to wait in the parking lot as transients will approach you.
I just got back from ordering Beignets. They give you a generous portion of mini-beignets freshly fried, slightly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside - lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. Very delicious!! I guarantee you will not find more authentic New Orleans-style Beignets than at this place.
Their seafood jambalaya is to die for. Just don't go beyond 2 for heat or your going to regret it. Enjoy
We've only had the fish sandwich here. It was very delicious and a nice healthy portion was given for the price of $11. Yes their prices went up and they still dont have new menus. Parking can be an issue but its not their fault. MtVernon Plaza is 100% hoodville. Id go back but We will always call our food in over the phone 1st. If they stop taking phone orders we would never sit outside and wait 40minutes for food at this location. Even if the food is good.
Authentic creole cooking in the heart of Columbus. No frills food and healthy portions. The best beignets north of NOLA!
Love this place! This morning I had the Creole Omelet with a side of bacon and it was delicious! The family that owns and runs this place are super friendly. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus!

Good food but the lady that takes orders is hindering performance. She'll tell you your food(breakfast) will be ready in 10 minutes. 10 minutes is actually an hour or at least 40minutes. She will repeat your order and still get it completely wrong. There was a guy who took orders, He was wonderful! Bring him back!!! lately its Just the mean scalp lady who'll leave half of your order out, argue with you even though shes wrong and tell you "o well we still have other customers". I ordered French toast, it was super soggy(usually my favorite), blt was cold, shrimp and grits was never in the bag, the home fries are always good...but I've had to many problems with my orders since shes started! I honestly just want them to do better, but they have to care..... UPDATE.. I went back for my shrimp and grits, she said she put it in the bag(she didn't) and told the chef I was trying to get an additional order. Long story short.... do better! Chef is the best but that lady?
