Chapman’s was amazing! We went for my birthday dinner because we heard from a friend that Chapman’s was the best restaurant in the city. It definitely did not disappoint. Unfortunately I only have a photo of my drink because I was so eager to eat I forgot to take photos of everything else. We got the General Tao’s cauliflower and it was amazing! 100% recommend to anyone as an app. Our server was amazing as well and really made it an experience for us. She helped a ton explaining the dishes and guiding us to what we might like the best. Definitely a great restaurant to check out!

There aren't words to describe my appreciation and enjoyment of the Chefs for Roe tasting tasting experience. I savored every sip and bite of the 8-course menu. No idea how 8 different chefs pulled it off without a hitch other than they were uber prepared and motivated by the cause. All dishes were above and beyond but my standouts were the Crab, Wax Pepper, Masa, Pepita and the Fresh Rice Noodle. Both left me wanting more from these talented artist chefs. I hope Chapman's does something similar again and I have the opportunity to participate.

Size portion of food was a bit on the smaller side but it was just right for me and hubs. May not be worth what you are expecting to pay with that amount. Taste wise though, it was worth every penny! Ordered 2 apps, the Summer Squash Salad which was surprisingly super tasty, especially with the crunch of the pistachios. Seared Scallops & Corn was soooooo good with that little touch of spiciness.I got the Com Tam cause that's what everyone recommended and it did not disappoint! An excellent version of the Vietnamese dish with a super soft and tender pork shoulder marinaded w/ lemongrass that goes excellently with the broken rice and smashed cucumbers.Hubs got the Catfish which we weren't sure if it was a good idea but believe or not, it was made perfectly! Hubs loved the flavor and how it was cooked just right. We don't usually stay for dessert but since we had a gift card, we did not regret paying extra. We asked for recommendation from our waitress and she suggested the Maple Hazelnut Budino (usually we get disappointed with recommendations from the staff but OMGEEEEEE! TRY IT!) It was light and fluffy and not at all sweet to the point of, it's just sweet. I don't even know how to explain it but it's definitely a must have! Also got a pavlova and same thing, sweetness was just right, only thing was the lemon flavor was just slightly overwhelming but once you eat it as a whole, it's a perfect combo.Frustrating had to wait the beginning of the month to reserve a table for a month out - had to cancel 1st time so had to reserve again. (Though, you can always just drop by before 5pm and try to grab a patio table or the bar, but pretty long line).Besides that, THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE TO ENJOY! We loved the vibe of the restaurant, a little rustic and super comfortable atmosphere with dim lights but not too dim that you can't get a good picture of the food. Even the bathrooms are a must go lol, they got toothpicks and hairbands if you forgot yours). Staff was super duper friendly (unless you prefer to be left alone and don't like happy and jolly people).Definitely will come back in the future!

Great restaurant, from a chef-owner duo who have 6 Michelin stars between them.Focused menu with a slight nod to SE Asia, though several dishes depart from that geo-inspiration.All the servers were fantastic - knowledgeable, personable and willing to offer an informed perspective when asked.Loved my dishes - Scallop appetizer, Lamb shoulder entree and Boudino (custard) dessert.Columbus is blessed to have these guys.

I was super excited to visit this place. It's usually a good sign when I look at a menu and think "I want everything." I almost felt like I was planning my 2nd visit before I even tasted anything on my 1st visit. Apps, entrees, desserts, cocktails.. they all sound so unique and delicious. Flavors had a lot of Asian influence and all my courses had an extra crunch factor with nuts of some sort. The General Tso's cauliflower was sweet with a subtle heat.. A+ start to the meal. I was really surprised to see Khao Soi on the menu; it's hard enough to find this dish at a Thai restuarant, nevermind find a quality version of it! (Turns out the chef here was inspired to add this dish to the menu after vacationing in Thailand). It had super refreshing flavors from the greens, a delicious rich broth, crispy and tender noodles, a little heat, super tender chicken.. excellent dish! I barely had room, but I'm glad I didn't pass it up on the budino for dessert (the dairy free version). It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the maple flavor was perfection. Their menu is allergen friendly (gluten, dairy, nuts, veg) so your options aren't super limited. Service was great and fast on a busy evening. I can already tell Chapman's is amongst the best restaurants in Columbus; I'll be back soon!

Stopped in here last month for a Friday dinner and was not disappointed! Everything was wonderful. To start my friends and I got the carrots (pictured) and the general tsos cauliflower (which is literally the best fried cauilflower dish i’ve ever had).I am vegetarian and for my entree I got the current pasta dish, a mushroom radiatore which kinda gave me fancy tuna noodle cassarole experience, I am not sure if that was the intention for it but I thought it kind of went well with what I was told was the menu having some dishes with a nostalgic vibe. I thought it was delicious! As dessert I got the chocolate orange tart, and on the other side of the table I snuck a few bites of the fresh ice creams - I was obsessed with the dr. pepper flavored one! It was so good that my friend ended up getting a pint of it to go.Our server was Erin and she was really nice and gave a lot of nice anecdotes about the menu! Dining room was really cute but we were sitting on the north facing side and with the ac vents going by our table it was really chilly to be honest. The only things I would hope is different next time I go back is I would like if there was a more elevated non alcoholic drink option, a lil mocktail or a na wine would be badass. Having a coke or a pellegrino is fine but for a nicer experience like this I think it would be lovely to have more options. Also I am sure if you live in the area and remember the previous spaces here you may be aware but it is not really handicap accessible at all, the bathrooms are in the basement and stuff so it’s just something I would be mindful of depending on who I was coming with!I was pleasantly surprised on the value of everything, my bill was honestly a lil cheaper than I was expecting to spend compared to other fine dining options in Columbus, I know in part it is because I didn’t drink, but even for my friends who shared cocktails and wine it was super reasonable for the experience. Overall I had a really good time and I look foward to coming back next time I am in the city! :)

I wish I could give them 6 stars. Food was AMAZING. General Tsos Cauliflower and French Fries were a must order. Please order dessert and try their special ice cream. Eat can I say about French French and Chocolate Ice Cream!!

We had reservations at a nearby restaurant that didn't meet our expectation and just decided to drive and look for something new. We passed by Chapman's, it looked cute, it was early in the evening so we decided to give it a try. I have to be gluten free and sometimes feel embarrassed to talk about my dietary needs. This establishment from start to finish never made me feel as though I was a burden Better yet, every single item my husband and I tried from the rugala salad to the oyster special ro the pastrami and fries and lamb braised shoulder, so so many wonderful flavors in each dish. I cannot remember in my 40 plus years of life a better dining experience topped off by our awesome server Patrick. Oh, and the cocktails, wonderful ?

Top 50 restaurants in the United States by The Times is kinda a big deal, so I had to check it out. Super hard to get a reservation, but after I was able to land a table, I waited patiently for 3 weeks. In line, I learned the secret to getting in same-day... Follow me on my blog for the secret... JK, just show up at the time they open and ask to sit at the bar: first come first serve. The ambiance is super cool and eclectic Bohemian decor interior, and the staff had the quirky, gregarious personality to boot. Service was absolutely impeccable. The appetizer of the day was a ricotta cheese toast with fava beans, pine nuts, and local greens. Usually would not pick something like this off a menu, but it was great. For an entree, I ordered Cơm Tấm and it was wonderful - pork cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. Kitchen also brought out a plate of their fries on the house - fried in beef fat and clarified butter (no ketchup necessary). For dessert, they had an ice cream based around "dipping your fry in a Wendy's frosty" and that was such a smart pairing. House also sent out the other two flavors to ensure my night was capped off right. Super awesome experience, I will be coming back every chance I get.

Private tasting was out of this world good. Staff, food, pairings, were spot on. All done in a ( magical?) hidden room behind a huge bookcase. Get your friends together and have an unforgettable dining experience.
