I order the ribeye steak kebab and it was not good at all.poor quality meat and tasteless beans and carrots.but the rice wasn’t badAlso need a little more professional service.

The service is absolutely atrocious. They will sit you, then drop off menus and come back 30 min later without talking to you again, drop off water and leave again with out taking any order. Then, when you do order, they will try to bring you food that you didn't order. One of our party got their salad waaayyy before any others received any food. This will be our last time visiting. If you do come here to dine be prepared to eat what THEY serve you because it won't be what you ordered. I should have just eaten what arrived rather than being polite and telling them its not what we ordered.

Got takeaway here on a weeknight. The entrees and the breads were delicious. The fries were both disappointingly generic for a $5 side and packed in the same container as the Doner Kebab, resulting in mushy disappointment.I will grant that packaging fries for takeout isn't ideal, but McDonald's manages to separate my fries from parfait and other items that will ruin them faster so this is seems like a lack of attention to detail I shouldn't be experiencing at this price point.

As a kosher consumer, I have passed by Cafe Istanbul many times. It looked like a nice establishment, but one of many that I figured I would never have the opportunity to try. However, thanks to a special initiative, they went kosher for a few days during Hanukkah, enabling me to try them out.On sitting down for lunch on the first day of the event, I noticed that not too much had changed from their standard menu, including the price, in order to go kosher. Disappointingly, when the waitress took our order, it turned out a number of items we were hoping to try were not yet ready, including Lamb, Adana and Spinach. We eventually got bread for the table (though we had to request it) and a nice rosemary chili oil for dipping. For starters, we ordered the Lentil Soup, Ezme, Hummus and Falafel. The Lentil soup was stunning, and all the appetizers were fresh and delicious. I have never had Ezme before, but as an onion-tomato salad, it's not too different from Matbucha. Unfortunately, for the cost of the Falafel and Hummus, I expected double the meager portion provided (6 is the bare minimum, but for $9 in Ohio, 8 would be appropriate). For the Mains, because of the other lack of choices, we ordered the Ribeye Steak Kebab and (faux) Cheese Pide. It took some time to come out, but the Steak was cooked to perfection and the Pide used an excellent imitation cheese (possibly Daiya?). The remaining veggies and rice on the steak plate were a bit plain (much better when mixed with the chili oil), but complimented the dish well. For dessert, we really got the Turkish experience we were hoping for with Turkish Coffee and Baklava. Both were absolutely delicious, but the Baklava is again considerably overpriced at $11 for a serving that should be about $5.Overall, I really enjoyed the food we were served here, everything tasted fresh and was clearly well made, and I hope this can become a regular occurrence, but I have to take a star away for pricing simple falafel and hummus higher than you find in LA or New York.

I totally forgot to take pictures, so just take my word on this one.Have you ever felt the taste that a good picture can give you? Well, the food tasted just like I imagined it would.Super friendly staff, great drinks too!Worth it!

The food was good. Got the kofete kabob, very flavorful

Hummus is amazing here never had a bad entree in my multiple times being here

Quite good. Excellent service. Lovely heated patio. Not a budget travelers choice, but a really good menu and everything we had was delicious!

We had an amazing dining experience on their patio outside. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Our server was absolutely kind and helpful in her recommendations

Wonderful food! I never realized tilapia could taste so elegant. Only downside: the music was playing at pain level. It made us want to hurry and finish, rather than to tarry awhile.
