This place is absolutely amazing for breakfast or lunch! Usually get onion bagel w/ olive spread for breakfast. Have had numerous sandwiches (reuben, chicken salad, Blocks Sub) for lunch. The pastries and cookies are on point also. The staff and owner are always helpful and just present a great atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else for bagel or deli needs.
I love blocks and I don’t get to go much. It’s been a few years and those years have apparently been harsh on you. This place a failing and won’t be around much longer if they don’t act now. 1- it’s filthy. The blinds and windowsills are disgusting. Beyond cleanable, needs replaced. Get rid of the dusty rocks and just cap that thing. Needs a deep clean, steamer would help. I can tell the tables and seats are wiped down and a quick mop. Burn that high chair, it’s nasty. Get a plastic one you can sanitize. The 40 and under crowd will not be attracted here. Update a bit or get left behind. It doesn’t matter how good your food is. There are so many bakeries and delis popping up everywhere, you have to keep up. Good luck
Must stop here! The bagels are amazing! Soft, chewy and super fresh. The service was extremely friendly and the place was clean (I noticed others say it was not so I purposely checked this out).

Love the tuna. Their bagels are the best
Bagels are great, employees are friendly, however the store is extremely dirty from ceiling to floor. This includes ceiling vents, tiles, blinds, tables, floor, trashcans, restrooms and stands that contain bags of food (chips).....right next to trash can. The entrance is also dirty. I would give the store a 5 star if clean, but giving it a one stars as it's clear, it has not been cleaned in a long long time. The owners really need to step up and remodel, as I don't think just a complete scrub down will do it. This is for the east side location on McNaughten.
Nice selection of sandwiches. I had the roast beef, and it tasted fresh and not frozen processed. Prices are very reasonable with very friendly staff.
Great deli! Got the Lox and one egg with jalapeño cream cheese on an everything bagel along with Latkes.The bagels and lox were fresh and very tasty. If you like spicy food the jalapeño cream cheese is a must. The Latkes were very good as well and large.Lots of options for everyone. Will be visiting this place again.If you are going in for a sandwich be ready to wait as everything is made to order.
Absolutely love this place I have been coming here for many many years and will continue to do so as long as it's open and I'm around. I wish I lived closer so I could come here everyday. The workers are always very sweet and willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want a really great bagel and cream cheese definitely go to blocks!! You should really try the chicken salad it is amazing as well.
First let me start off saying I love blocks bagels but will not be returning to this location. Was sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to open. 1) if you care about this, employees were not wearing masks while working in the kitchen (not a deal breaker for me) 2) one of the employees pulled out an extra large vape apparatus and proceeded to smoke while standing in the kitchen.... for me this is a deal breaker! I am not a smoke and do not appreciate seeing an employee smoking while working with the food. This location just lost my business ?
