We had a 7:15 reservation and were sat at the hibachi table with our fellow diners at 7:30. We then sat for an hour and fifteen minutes with only the soup and salad courses being delivered, the chef and chef cart still hadn't come out. After a full hour and a half of sitting waiting for our meal to begin, we decided to leave. Not a good experience. I understand that staffing is tight, just limit your reservations accordingly or warn people in advance that there will be a significantly longer than usual wait.
Benihana has gone down in service big time. This was a disappointment
We had a reservation and were told they were running a little behind, after waiting for over 20 minutes were seated. Waitress worked hard and got our drinks, soup and salad only to find out that no chef was available. We then waited almost another 20-30 minutes for the chef. Then the portions were not correct. The emperial feast that one of our group got only had 5 pieces of chicken and all the rest was beef, and was not equal portions. Worst experience I have had there. Not sure if we will return.
Our chef, Avery, was GREAT! Made a fun and great experience for both us adults and our child. Problem was, we were there for over 2 hoursâ¦for a lunch!!! If it wasnât my sons idea to go there and âsee the guys that cooks in front of youâ, we would have definitely left!! Ordered all entrees, only one chef for 4 seated tables and we had to wait FOREVER!! For our food and with a HANGRY 4yr old, not the easiest task. The last year we have gone here, it has been issue after issue! Itâs always low staff! If thatâs the case then quote people longer wait times and be honest - donât leave them sitting there with little kids and empty waters for over an hour before the chef even reaches the table!! Took 2 hours, forgot part of our order, empty drinks, just could have been better all the way around! The chef did great once he finally showed up which he said he got called in to work 4 hours early. Itâs been like this EVERY TIME!! And donât even get me started on the DoorDash/take out! We have had multiple orders cancelled because DoorDash Wes have arrived to pick up the order and have had to wait over 45 mins. Leaving us hungry with kids, the DoorDasher mad and out of money and wasted time, and leaving bad reviews and customer service from your end! I want this restaurant to work and it used to be so great!! GET MORE STAFF!! We even heard the waiters/ hostesses arguing one day in front of all the tables over who should have gotten what table one server who was very pregnant and upset, in front of everyone!! From someone in the service industry - this is going to take your business down!! You donât have enough staff and the ones you do have are total crap and probably overworked so they arenât going to represent your company to the standard it deserves. Donât be another âThe Pubâ! I love Benihana and go there specifically over all the others because of the great food, sauces and atmosphere but lately - itâs been embarrassing even taking my kids there and dealing with the element
Service was horrible. Our server never brought out the salad that was supposed to come with our hibachi for 2 of our guests and she didnât even seem concerned when we pointed it out to her. Some members of our party were supposed to have ice cream with their order and didnât get that until my brother hunted down another staff member-our sever had disappeared. Not sure if I will be coming back again.

Chef Sway was the best chef weâve ever had at Benihana. The food was seasoned better than it had ever been before.
we had a newer chef, too much pepper on items, mushrooms and onions need to be cooked more, main course was great.
Worst experience of my life at a benihana food was over salted chef sucked still had shell on my lobster my rice was burnt and crunchy unedible also did not receive my full course meal since I did not receive my tea or my sherbert very doubtful that I'll ever get there again
Be patient and enjoy. It takes a little time, but worth the wait.
