Had a great time when I was here three years ago for Columbus pride. This year however, they ruined my trip because I couldn't get in. You had to buy a ticket for an event they had, and tickets weren't sold at the door. They wouldn't let anybody in unless you bought one ahead of time.
Wouldnt let us in after paying $160 for 2 nights and said we couldnt get a refund after driving 2 hours to get here. STAY FAR FAR AWAY
As a gay man...I have to say this...I am soooo tired of drag queens. Just give me a cool, hot club with good drinks, a good DJ, good music and good dance floor. The rest is just hokey.
Went here while I was in Columbus visiting family. Everyone was so nice, and I saw my first drag show. I loved it! Can't wait to go again next time I'm in Ohio.

Axis is a blast! We always have a great time. Bartenders are attentive, the environment is lively, and the patio provides a calm space after all the excitement indoors.
We recently tried to attend an event here. They don’t have any parking aside from like two spaces up near the front. We tried to park nearby and was told if we did that our car would get towed. The bouncer at the front had no interest in helping us and basically told us we were out of luck. We needed up just leaving and missing the show.I won’t be attending an event here again.
Their attempt at being “woke” by implementing a gender-neutral restroom has done nothing but make everyone uncomfortable. A girl pulled down her skirt and peed in the urinal beside me while talking to me the whole time and trying to “peek” at me. Disgusting. Especially considering they have a restroom monitor. Why bother? The whole experience is ruined by straight women who never stop photographing and video recording everyone because they don’t understand the struggles of the LGBTQ community. Not to mention the aggressive, threatening police raids at 2 am forcing everyone out the door.
Personally as my first time going to club I have to say18+ is acceptedPaper IDs can be usedThey take extra measures to seperate those who are younger then 21 and those who aren’t but yet still include them.The place in it self is a night club , loud music drag performances , drinks , lots of people and lights and dancingAlthough I got sleepy my girlfriend enjoyed dancing most of the night!!!10:00pm-2:30am
Moved to Columbus recently and this has been one of the greatest gay bar experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone is welcoming and fun, and the drag shows are top notch. First time I went I asked one of the bartenders to make up a coconut drink and it was amazing. Now every time I go he recognizes me and knows my order before I even ask!Looking forward to many more nights at this Columbus LGBT landmark!
