The best tonkatsu ramen I have EVER had, and I've been to Japan and had my fair share of ramen. What an absolute GEM of a ramen place, honored and blessed to be able to visit Ampersand in Columbus -- it'll be difficult to find a better tasting tonkatsu ramen bowl anywhere else.Expect high quality service, an amazing atmosphere where you can watch the chefs make the large quantiles of rice/ramen and expect some of the best tasting ramen in the world.

Every year we got to a convention in Columbus and every year we visit our favorite restaurants and try to explore a couple we haven't eaten at. This was our first time at Ampersand. It was awesome. Raman is having kind of a moment right now and we've eaten some pretty great raman. But Ampersand topped them all. We started off with a couple of appetizers - edamame and pork bell bao. The edamame was delicious but pretty spicy. There was a spice that was sprinkled on that kicked things up a bit. If you are spice averse, watch out. The bao was delicious. The bun was soft. The pork belly was crispy and juicy. And the vegetable seemed very fresh. This was GREAT. But the raman was king. I got the tonkotsu (bone broth) and the broth was so rich and so delicious. Everything about it was perfect. We will DEFINITELY be eating at Ampersand again. This place deserves recognition

I’ve only had the takeout, but it’s consistently incredible!

We came here on a Monday evening for dinner. We were seated immediately and got our order in very quickly. I really appreciated that they offered a local Kombucha option in Kombu-Tea out of Plain City! We got the Chashu steamed buns which were very good - if you haven't had them they are great to try! We also got the Tonkatsu Ramen (which our server recommended as the best option). It did not disappoint. The broth was very flavorful and had almost a buttery, hearty feel to it. The mushrooms and the pork were amazing. Usually I don't care for fatty pork, but the way the pork was cooked made the pork absolutely melt. Make sure to get the shoyu egg in your ramen too! The egg is my absolute favorite part. We will be back very soon for sure!

Nice place for some elevated, fusion ramen. Simple salad was also a pleasant surprise along with great service.

Favorite ramen place in all of Cbus. First time trying the Miso with octopus, it was flavorful and octopus was very tender. Also love their Nori fries!

Beautiful dining space. Bar and service were wonderful. The Old fashioned stole the show for the experience. So pretty you almost didn’t want to drink it.Tontuken Ramen was good, not great.Egg rolls and calamari were also good, not great.I’ll recommend as a cocktail and date night. If you’re hungry it will tide you over.

Great food! The happy hour menu was a pleasant surprise and contributed to a higher than expected consumption of sake and steam buns.

Absolutely amazing food. Eating here makes me feel satisfied in ways no other restaurants in Columbus have ever done. The flavors are amazing, the ingredients fresh and interesting, and the ramen is perfectly top notch.

This review is LONG overdue, I think the 5 stars speaks for itself. From the food to the hospitality of the employees, everything is on point. I've tried basically everything on the menu and not one thing disappointed. If you love calamari this is possibly the best at least in columbus. Oh and their matcha cheesecake is one of a kind
