Very good food, great customer service, and vegan friendly. It is rare that I find a vegan or vegetarian friendly Afro-Caribbean restaurant. The best part is that they offer a balanced meal for vegans and vegetarians (with PROTEIN). My fiance had jerk chicken and he says that it was delicious as well. Also, I tried the hibiscus-pineapple juice that is made with agave; it was delicious as well. Give Yum Village a try, you won't be disappointed!
The food was pretty good and the guy working was very nice. They need to update the menu with the additional pricing. The bowl said a base price of $9 and after getting the goat it was a total of $21. It was good but not close to that good or enough food for $21. Tell your customer about the upcharge or post the specific prices on the menu.
Food was prepared fast and the flavor was amazing. The entire staff was nice and helped with every question asked. I brought in a group from out of town and they want to come back. Highly recommend and love all the vegan options ???
Customer service was great! I was greeted as soon as I walked into the building. The oxtail were delicious! They have a different flavor profile than I expected or am used to, more citrusy, but very good! They were super tender and the gravy was bursting with flavor. My favorite part was definitely the plantains though! The sweet & spicy was a good take on them! I will definitely be back!
The food is good, the service was great Afro Caribbean cuisine.Nice size portions if you are near the CSU I would most definitely stop to eat here.
This is one of my favorite restaurants downtown! I’m a new vegetarian and this place satisfied my soul. I had the bowl, with jolly rice, ox tail gravy, and plantains. It was so yummy! Plus Carsai was so caring. Will definitely go back.

Stopped by Yum Village on opening day because I had heard so much about it starting as a food truck in Detroit and working its way to Cleveland based on reputation. Let me tell you, this did not disappoint! From the African cheesy bread which was unique and incredible, to my rice bowl which has just an unreal pallet of flavors! The plantains were fresh and flavorful - I will absolutely be going back, and bringing friends!Also I didn’t try it but I heard the Ox tail is A-1!

YumVillage saved the day. We have a catering company cancel on our lunch last minute. Knowing that YumVillage caters, we called and within minutes they started working on 14 bowls and 3 Maffe soups for my team. Not only was the food amazing and flavorful, the service and responsiveness was incredible. Even while making our large impromptu order, every customer that walked in was greeted with a welcome and smile.
