Atmosphere was nice…the food was on the lighter side of okay.. However never again! First, they have a host station but the girl on the other side of the room is yelling for everyone to come to her where she gives you a menu and tells you to order and pay.. So everyone is standing around trying to decide what to eat, under pressure.. Then you pay ahead of food and service.. which tells me getting the money is priority over service and experience.. Next you’re told to find your own seat.. Took 15-20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us.. with water.. Then we noticed people getting their own condiments and utensils, so we followed suit but was never actually told this was necessary.. About 35 minutes later my husband’s food came, 5 minutes later mine came. Sausage was obviously microwaved but not long enough, it was cold.. Asked for a hot order and realized I didn’t get my home fries.. Came out quickly but sausage was still cold in the middle not sure why so I gave up.. French toast was really good.. Best part was being entertained by all the chaos and confusion of everyone coming thru the door.. Paid $35 for a average to below average meal, to service ourselves and a long wait.. Never again..
The food couldn't get any better. Everything was amazing! Great atmosphere too.
I enjoyed my food first time there.Clean, food was hot and fresh! I love the servers wore gloves, that means alot to me.I will be back real soon❤
This was our first experience with Yonder. We were attracted by the great photos of the food and the menu! The food was good, so let's start there! If you like breakfast with soul, they've got it. We had the chicken and waffles, and the Unicorn lemonade. The best part of that meal to me was the waffles. The chicken was just okay. (It didn't have much soul! It could've used more seasoning. Although it was fried to perfection.) The young man who took care of us was very nice. Those are the pros. But now, let's talk about the cons. There aren't many. However, this one might be significant. When we walked in, there was a really nice aroma. But that aroma wasn't food. It was some sort of air freshener. We originally intended to eat in the restaurant, but the smell from that air freshener was so strong we couldn't stay. It was apparent that they were attempting to cover some other smell by overwhelming it with the air freshener. During our brief stay, I could smell the other scent coming through the air freshener. So, there's something really wrong in that building. Hopefully it's nothing that will negatively affect the workers, or the food they prepare. But, something is wrong. What restaurant wants you to smell air freshener over the lovely scent of good food cooking? It doesn't make any sense right? In my opinion what we ate was not a $45 meal. That's my review.
I was super excited to try this place, but I doubt we would return. Prices have gone up a lot from their menu on the site, so that was a surprise. Issues we had:Beverages- They don't do ice water so you have to get a bottle which the price isn't listed $4 bottle of water! If that had been listed we would have at least gotten a better beverage. We did get one "unicorn lemonade" which I thought would have a bright pop of color but was just a muddled purple amongst random fruit for $6Food- be prepared to wait awhile, two of our meals took 30 minutes, while my partners took 10, so he was finished before we received ours. His chicken and waffles were bad, the waffles were so hard they were a challenge to cut through, and the chicken was bland. Luckily our 2 sandwiches were pretty good- which was the only redeeming part of the visit. Potatoes weren't seasoned. Our two meals were boxed to go even though we ordered to eat in. Tables around us were having the same issues, one sending multiple things back to the kitchen, and all waiting an unreasonable amount of time.Atmosphere- pretty inside but the music was crazy loud, we first sat down in the side room and had to get up because not only was it blaring-the speaker had an issue with the volume constantly fluctuating which was intolerable. Everything was served on disposable plates and cutlery, which wouldn't be a big deal but you're paying decent brunch prices for this so overall it wasn't worth it. $44 on two sandwiches one side of potatoes a lemonade and a water was not $ well spent. And my partner spent $25 on bad chicken and waffles and a bottled water! All to order at the counter too, so you're choosing gratuity before seeing how rough the service is.All these issues are definitely solvable ones so hopefully they will be able to correct it in the future because it is a unique concept and cute shop.
I went there recently on a Sunday, and ordered the chicken and waffles (without the whipped cream). The wait was a little long, but not terrible. The chicken was PERFECTLY seasoned (I may or may not have swallowed the first bite whole), and the waffles were nice and fluffy. Although slightly pricey, it was just enough food, and well worth it. Although they had to make a correction to my and my friend's order, the staff was very friendly, courteous and swift about it. I'd definitely go again, adding it to one of my favorite local breakfast spots.
I was so excited to go here because it is located just 4 mins from the Children’s Museum in Cleveland so I knew it would be a great, quick place to go grab brunch before we started our session at the museum. However, we were very disappointed as we waited an HOUR for our food. I realized after about a half an hour that the four other tables around us also hadn’t gotten any of their food yet. I’m not sure what was going on but I watched as one by one someone from each table got up to go ask where our food was. It’s setup like a Panera where you order at the counter and you go get your food yourself. My friend who ordered after me got her food before me and finished her food before I even got mine. She decided to order a hot chocolate after seeing a girl who got hers and look at the pictures for the bomb how chocolate the other girl got (yes we snapped a picture of hers) and the hot chocolate my friend got. What!? Their excuse was that they made the good looking kit chocolate one wrong. Okay. The food was good but I was just disappointed in the exceptionally long wait time and without any word from the servers as to why.
Yonder is a diamond in the rough. All we heard before we went was that the food was amazing. When we walked in, we were surprised to see counter service and plenty places to sit. We tried the Yonder Breakfast Sammie and the Chicken and Waffles. Both were exceptionally good. The mojito and fruit tea were otherwordly. What was also rather notable was the line of people looking for brunch. It was as steady as a Chic-fil-a drive-thru.
This place was out of the way and not what we were expecting but was a wonderful surprise. The food was AMAZING. We had the egg/cheese/avocado sammies and the cinnamon French toast. My 7yo absolutely loved the vegan sausage. The sammies were so good, honestly I would drive way out of my way just to come here for them. Portion sizes were very filling. They definitely did seem short-staffed, but the food was worth the wait. I very highly recommend!!
1 star is being generous but only because this place passes the vibe check as far as decor. The service concept of order at the counter and pick up your food makes no sense when you dine in. The portion sizes are definitely a joke for the price as well. I ordered chicken n waffles and not only was it a tease with 4 microscopic waffles and 3 tiny chicken wings, the chicken was undercooked. And paper plates when dining in is tacky, they need to do better smh
