We started our son's wedding weekend celebrating at the Tavern for a rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious! Everything was so good. The upstairs room was perfect, great atmosphere and everyone loved the outside deck! Can't say enough about the owner, Randy and his great staff. They were all very accommodate. Top notch service, thank you again!
XYZ is one of my favorite neighborhood bars in town, but for as long as I've been coming here, I had no idea there was a private event space upstairs. So not only are they great people who serve great beer and killer food to guests, but they've been awesome to work with for our Secret Society Comedy pop-up shows. The upstairs space is huge and it feels like home. If you're looking for a spot to host a dinner or other event, it's right in the middle of Gordon Square.
TLDR: get the corned beef hash for brunch but be aware that the poached egg isn’t very runny.My partner and I went here for brunch before seeing a movie at the capital. For brunch I got the corned beef hash and he got the brunch burrito. We had mimosas. I really enjoyed my corned beef hash. I just wish that the poached egg was more runny.
Walked here on empty and left full and didn't break the bank. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Lighting could be better around the bar but that's not a deal breaker.
Turkey club was tasty however the pork belly was too fatty / greasy rather have bacon Otherwise everything is well priced drinks as well are good staff didn’t seem to be happy at work however it could’ve just been that type of day… id still recommend!
Food was fantastic! House made BBQ sauce was great. Cornbread in the shape of a skull!! Homemade coleslaw! Everything was amazing! I would recommend checking them out and we will be going back next time we are working in Cleveland!
First time going! We went during the mid-afternoon, so during off hours, but the server/bartender was really hustling to take care of us at a table and the patrons at the bar and was very accommodating. Would definitely try again and maybe see what it's like during peak hours.
Loved that we could bring our dogs to eat with us on the back patio. Ruben and corned beef sandwiches were great. This is one of the few places that serve putine and it is only 1.50 for fries and 0.50 for gravy!
I ended up here after 4 other places were packed and I'm not disappointed at all! the food was super tasty and my bloody Mary was to die for. I asked for it extra spicy and the bartender DELIVERED! I will definitely be back for Sunday brunch again ?
Service was great but food was terrible. Hubby got the XYZ breakfast, eggs tasted like they were day old reheated, bacon was burnt and he said the toast tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. He had a bite of each and couldn’t eat anymore which is a rarity for him as he loves breakfast food. I got the eggs Benedict, the sandwich itself was ok and I did eat it but the potatoes tasted like they had been sitting out for a day and weren’t warm at all when it came out.
