Can't honestly tell you what's going on here but it seems as if the end is near.5 p.m. on a Saturday night and there was never more than 6 customers. There was one person running everything, and poorly at that. She could make the veal cutlet dinner but did not know how to make the veal cutlet sandwich. She couldn't make a double cheeseburger but could make a 2nd cheeseburger meal and I could throw the bun away and put the burger on top of the other if I wanted too. Um what? We placed a to go order of 2 stuffed cabbage (which were very good) before we got our bill. Those were put on a separate bill because she did not know how to add it to the original bill. ( HER words not mine). The pop with our meals was completely flat and definitely didn't taste like Pepsi products in any way. This was truthfully one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I'm giving this a two only because the 2 people who ordered the stuffed cabbage and chicken dumpling soup said it was as good as ever.Minus the home fries which were a soggy mass of potatoes thrown on the flat top until they showed some color. My best advice is stay away for 3 months and see if they are still there. Maybe things will straighten out. Then again maybe not.
Great nostalgic restaurant went here as a kid.Breakfast is AMAZING. Sausage biscuits and gravy like No Other!!
very cute diner original and great food and waiters are so nice
Hardly any staff, but no worries, she cooked, served and remained pleasant all at the same time !
The worst place i have ever ate at. They had almost nothing from the menu, what i was able to get was dry and cold. The clerk complained the entire time i was there and was slamming dishes. I will never go back to this stress attack again. Zero stars but i have to give one to pist
I went to the Whip with my husband and son for Thanksgiving this year. It was a place my parents always took us to every Thanksgiving while they were alive. I was very disappointed. The waitresses looked like they really didn’t want to be there. They threw the napkins and silverware on the table and my husband had to distribute the napkins and give each person the right knife spoon and fork. There was only one other party at the time so they weren’t busy. It was a small booth and they didn’t bother to remove the salad and soup bowls from the table which made it even more cramped when they brought the Turkey. My son had to ask for a second cup of coffee or he wouldn’t have gotten one. We then had to wait like forever for our check to arrive. We could of went anywhere we won’t make this mistake again
perfect over medium egg not runny or overcooked. Hashbrowns were just the right amount crispy, Im going to ask for some fried onions in them next time. Toast was nicely butter. Server was friendly and did a wonderful job.
Fast good service. I love the mom pops places. Food was perfect.
A Cleveland classic..My Grandma worked here in the 1950s..Good eats,.
First time coming to the restaurant, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent service. Definitely a great little place.
