Great food, great service!
My husband and I decided to check out this vegan spot in Shaker Heights.I will start with THE PROS:My chix & waffles with a side of polenta was amazing. Very flavorful. The oxyster mushroooms (chix) had a crunchy batter like chicken. The waffle was melt-in-my-mouth good. The polenta was very creamy. We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere for good conversation.The CONS:Our waitress was not attentive and a bit lazy. Her attitude reflected impatience and like she didn’t want to be at work. She brought us menus and water BUT took forever to come back and take our orders. She kept passing by our table but NEVER said when she would be back. She brought me a to-go box that was 3 sizes too small. We had WATER with our meal. Not many choices for anything else to drink. They had a hisbicous tea that cost around $7. It would be nice to offer a reasonably priced lemonade or ice tea.Overall, I would try this place again. Hopefully, we have BETTER waitstaff next time.
One of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had. We had the potato balls, hush puppies, hummus plate and red curry. All really delicious and the presentation was nice. Honestly, this is reason enough for me to come to Cleveland. I highly recommend The Vegan Club to any vegan or non vegan looking for a filling delicious meal.
Excellent vegan, gluten free, and nut free options! So delicious and so much variety. I like how they focus more on using a variety of ingredients to build unique combinations and flavors than using fewer ingredients repeatedly to make a vegan version of everything. Great find by my friend! Can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend it
Awesome, cruelty free food, cozy atmosphere, and great staff! Full bar as well, it's a great spot. Definitely going back!
Delicious food, service was a tad slow, but we did visit on a sunday so nothing wrong with the laid back vibe, it gave myself and my friends time to talk, music was great, our server was polite and attentive as she could be- located in the same building as the breakfast club. Everything was delicious from appetizers to dessert. Heads up try to get there when they open they sell out of things quickly ( which is a good thing, means there is a lot of business and food is freshly made in small quantities)We ordered for apps okra fries, fried green tomatoes, chorizo hush puppiesEntrees Hot Chik'n sandwiches and a po boyDessert was strawberry chocolate cake ( this was a aquired taste to the friends that chose this one)Vegan cheesecake delishApple Tart NO COMPLAINTS delicious for suree, not too sweet just enough!We had a table of 6.Be prepared for the high quality food and ingredients and the specialty of a vegan eatery you will spend out 60-70 bucks per two ppl especially if you get apps, entrees and desserts. It was worth it to have a menu i didnt have to change or think about or ask if its vegan or (whats in that) to try and change it like i would have to at a different restaurant. So overall delish and will return!!
We drove an hour just to come to this place. Host was very nice but she and one other server walked around for 30 minutes, making eye contact with us and no one ever served us. Restaurant was empty besides us and a couple who came in at the same time as us. They got drinks, salads, and meals and we still had not been greeted or offered drinks. Ended up eating at Barrio :) will never come back to try.
Amazing vegan food! You should definitely give it a try! The fettuccine,apple tart and sangrias are my faves. :) Great service! Reea is an amazing waitress! :)
What a waste of gas to go all the way to Cleveland from North Canton just to get ignored for 25 minutes! We got our menus when seated and then someone brought us sliverwear and that was it never even got asked for water! There were people that came in at the same time and got their salad and entrées. As we were getting up to walk out what we think was the owner asked if we were served yet and we replied no the server was standing there next to him and didn't say anything. She knew we were there because she walked past us and I was looking at her at one point she looked back and talked to the hostess and never came over. There was 3 other tables in the whole place and she was just pretty much sitting there. My best friend and I will not be wasting our time and gas to try it again!
We found this place on the internet, checked the opening times and drove quiet a distance to get there to find it was … closed. Nothing mentioned on the website and no sign on the door. Frustrating and so unprofessional.
