We enjoyed everything about The Standard. They had a fantastic Jazz band in addition to their excellent menu and strong service. Every food item we saw coming out looked and smelled fantastic. The food we enjoyed was as good as any I have had. Thanks to The Standard for making my wife's birthday special.

Excellent food, the Chef is truly a Chef, by all means. Noisy open kitchen but interesting to watch for foodies. There are other rooms and the closed back porch if you want a quiet place. Large portions but incredibly well made food. Knows what he is doing.
Our first time at The Standard and not our last! We sat on the patio in the back, beautiful and intimate, the food was outstanding and so was the service. What made it extra special was Mr. Muhammed and his band, they are outstanding jazz musicians!

My friend was in from Seattle and I wanted to show her a special restaurant in Cleveland, and invited another friend who I knew loved The Standard as well. I had "Said's (the chef/owner) Paella (a menu item), and my friends both had one of the specials: the Steak au Poivre. All three dishes were cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable, and their outdoor patio is heaven on earth. My one complaint was that there was also a small band playing on the patio that evening, which did not allow for companionable conversation. (I don't know why in a space that small a band needs an amplifier???) If you want a great meal, I highly recommend The Standard. If you want conversation with your great meal, find out if they've got entertainment that night.
a very upscale place where tucked into the 185th street area.it provides a great alternative to going downtown for dinner before a show or concert.
The food and ambience at The Standard is always amazing. What stood out last night though, was our server. Brittany was a delight. The Standard is lucky to have such a mature and poised young lady representing their establishment.
