Spotted Owl is still one of my most favorite bars in Cleveland. I missed it when it was shut down for Covid. Now that it's back, it's got the same charm and effervescent cocktails that I remember. They also have a new outdoor section (although it was closed the night I went because it was a tad chilly). Order off the wheel based on your mood. They will get it right every time.
Built in the 1800’s but now converted to a hip lounge, The Spotted Owl is a unique combination of the new and old. Using the original rustic brick and hardwood decor, it is hard to find but a great find to experience. (All pictures taken today.) The manager who just won the “Best of Ohio” Manhattan and will be competing nationally next.
Excellence. Every time. It's a dark space and really easy to get lost in conversation with friends. Everything is fresh, made from scratch and done the right way. Even for one drink... You have to stop here at least once while visiting.

Cool, dim, dope atmosphere inside. Beautiful, open, bright patio outside during the summer. A dream of a cocktail menu: selecting from two dimensions and getting a custom cocktail.
Interesting experience, pick your mood and flavor and they'll make you a drink. Pricey but strong in alcohol and flavor. We apparently accidentally sat at a section of the bar that was closed but we weren't asked to move, just had odd service. Would try again.
Menu is unusual, but clever. No one ever told me what I ended up drinking. I chose "reflect" and "classic" from the menu. I think it was a vodka gimlet. Very loud, could barely hear music. Could be a fun date place -- dim, romantic ambiance.
Top notch cocktail bar that I love showing off to friends and visitors. They will never disappoint with the cocktails and we love the vibe. I cant remember how we found this place but it's a true gem and they are masterful mixologists. Both pics are from the mood wheel which always amazes our group.

How could you not love this place? The atmosphere is amazing and homey. The bartender was so helpful and friendly. I felt so safe and relaxed. Yes, the drinks are a bit on the higher priced end, but your mixologist takes the time to make that drink perfect for you every time. So it’s worth it. Definitely be back to this place!
