The service was great! There were 8 of us who stopped in after a wedding and we got a seat with no problem. I ordered the rib tips for an appetizer and the 4 wing dinner with Mac n cheese and collard greens. The rib tips tasted mediocre at best. I did like how they fell off the bone. The max n cheese was absolutely horrible (4 of us ordered it and nobody ate more than a bite or 2) the wings were just ok and the collard greens were pretty good.
I’m giving a 3 star because I don’t know if it was an off night or if I’m just use to NC BBQ. I got the pulled pork and it was swimming in grease. The red beans(not read beans but pintos) and rice were sour. The only thing that was eatable was the collard greens. It was definitely not worth the almost $30.00 I paid for it.
Awesome, Food top notch, Out of PBR, but Genny works. Stupid fries O MY FREEKIN GOODNESS! Smoked Brisket sandwich with Carolina sauce MORE PLEASE. Our waitress/ bartender/ server she can't be topped. Great time,great place. You made my Father's day dinner perfect. Thank you.
My husband and I didn’t plan to eat here but we could smell the food from the street so we thought we would give it a try. I ordered brisket with collard greens, and sweet potato casserole. My hubby got Polish boy. My dish came with corn bread. The brisket was juicy and the spicy BBQ sauce had the right amount of heat. The service was a bit slow but it was just one lady to do everything from taking order, bartending, etc. Overall we liked it here. I hope you give them a try.
So after my friend raving excellent things about this place, I had to see for myself. See and taste I did indeed. I ordered the brisket with 2sides of collard greens. I also got a half slab as a take home.All I can say is wowsers (yes just like Inspector Gadget used to say). The greens were phenomenal, the cornbread was yummy and my brisket was just...NO WORDS. Y'all it was good. I cannot wait to return to have more, much more lol.
Like a home cooked meal from grandma when you visit down south. The yams, greens and perch were on point. I even liked the cole slaw and I normally don't. It had cranberries in it and it gave it an extra zing to it. The female bartender who took Mt carryout order was very friendly. I wish I could have had a larger portion for my perch but other than that. I tasted the wings and ribs I will be back to have them as my entree in the future. I was very pleased with my visit to The Rib Cage Smokehouse.
The worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. Not sure if this place should even be considered a restaurant it’s really just a bar with extremely poor service. One person working the dining room and bar and the two chefs seemed to either be taking their time or not working at all. We waited 45 minutes for two sandwiches before leaving. I can understand if the place was busy but we were the only table.
It’s a no for me. Ribs aren’t cooked on the grill they’re baked and very fatty. Chicks taste like old grease, fries are raw, greens and yams were good and the lady that took orders was very nice.

Good food. I got the polish girl... Which is the polish boy with added smoked pork on top.. Great food here. Fries, hush puppies... All good. Service was great too.Definitely recommend stopping here.
