An excellent new addition to south Tremont. The owners are so nice and the food/baked goods are to die for. I like to get an almond latte. She makes the almond syrup from scratch and it’s amazing. Kind of limited parking, but it’s worth the trip.
We have a fabulous contractor on our property who has brought us treats from your amazing bakery…chocolate croissants and today, delicious cupcakes...almost too beautiful to bite into! We are new to the area but a visit in person is a must. A big thanks to John for his generosity and the best bake goods we have ever had. Baking from scratch with fresh ingredients and your skill produces the ultimate treat!

I just stopped in and got a coconut lime donut. Absolutely amazing. Fresh, soft, great flavor. A lot of places put tons of showy toppings on to hide a bad pastry. This is the real deal. Simple toppings and a fantastic base.
First time at Terrapin. Why did we wait so long! Absolutely delicious - breakfast sandwiches, donuts, coffee and chocolate cake. Courtney (owner/baker) is lovely! Get some treats and wander down to Lincoln Park!
Wow! All I can say is wow! Stopped in last week after hearing so many great reviews of this Tremont bakery. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Jackson, one of the owners. He was so friendly and took the time to explain all the donut flavors and the other selections offered. Everything is made in-house from scratch by their head baker, Courtney. I chose a butterfinger donut and a lemon raspberry one along with a house made chai infused latte. These donuts are BIG! Texture and flavor were delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try the other flavors! Thank you Jackson and Courtney!
We tried Terrapin for the first time this morning. Picked up the cinnamon rolls and a half dozen donuts. The cinnamon rolls were still warm, wow ! I'm usually not a fan of maple but these were amazing. The lemon lavender donuts are exceptional, we will definitely be back for more! A hidden gem in Tremont. A must try if you are ever in the neighborhood. The owners were informative and gracious, they made a great first impression.
So very good!!! Excellent coffee, and amazing pastries and other baked goodies. We ordered far more than we could even eat, but it all looked so good we just had to try a bit of everything! Unique donuts were delish. Breakfast sandwiches were very good—loved the flaky but substantial brioche style bread they are served on. We loved the charming and friendly staff too. Great little spot!!
Thank You Jackson for making my kids’ 1st visit a very pleasant experience. They enjoyed the drinks you prepared and the pastries.
Really can’t say enough about a place like this. Small locally owned business with some of the best people, AND best food you’ve ever had. Not only does all of the food taste absolutely AMAZING, it is always so FRESH. Truly fantastic staff with the nicest management. Really a one of a kind place, totally worth your time and what little they charge for a great experience.P.S. Can’t recommend their lemonade and orange juice enough. Never thought I would get lemonade so early in the morning, but now I can’t stop.
