We called at 5:30pm on Friday and placed our order for our 2 person 1 toddler family. The person operating the phone sounded irritated to be taking the order. At the end of the order placement she said they are out of empanadas. She said they were backed up and would call us in an hour when it was ready. One hour passes and there is no call. We called back one hour and fifteen minutes later and the same depressive, bored person answered and said it would be maybe another 40 minutes. She had no idea when our order would be ready. It’s like she had no experience with this work. We canceled our order. Dinner at 6:30 (ordered at 5:30pm) turned into pizza at 8:30pm, maybe later, not Puerto Rican food.1. This phone operator is an excellent case for online ordering menus and also online therapy. Talking to her made me feel less hopeful about not only dinner but making phone calls in general.2. It’s unacceptable to run out of empanadas Friday 5:30pm. Were these stuffed with crab legs or a rare mushroom? No. You can fill an empanada with broken glass or clay pigeons and it’s still an empanada. They should have enough empanada dough present to feed the Boyscouts of America. When would they not need an excess of empanada dough? It’s like asking someone if they’d like more lemonade. Don’t ask, just bring it.I’m giving an extra star because my husband said I’m being harsh. I’d like to deduct a star for the operator also not understanding my husband’s Spanish accent when he was ordering food from a place where Spanish language is native. Boo.

I loved the white rice, beans, roast chicken and potato salad Chef Joe prepared for me and my son Christopher. Its was absolutely delicious! He even dressed up the dinner with an ONION DESIGN Chef Joe prepared in front of our own eyes and with grace and style. We love Chef Joe, absolutely talented and creative. Food... deliciosa!

Traveled from Columbus,OH looking for puertorrican food and this place did not disappoint!! Ordered the bistec encebollado and it was simply the best I’ve had since I moved from Puerto Rico. Service was superb, the owner was very kind and made me feel like home. I will definitely be coming back!!
Just went today, reminds me of the restaurants that are out in Brooklyn nyc! Walked in, the smell was amazing, staff was bubbly and welcoming. Got home after a long drive to eat and it was very delicious!Would recommend over and over again.
