I'm so annoyed and conflicted. I've always had good food and usually good service. Since they opened I've had the perch dinner, whiting dinner, fried okra, spaghetti, green beans, whiting and waffles, pound cakes and sweet potato pie. Their fish tastes like the ol skool 216 fave Docks Fish. Perfectly seasoned, floured and fried (ask for it well done). The fries are ok,. Better with sauce on the side. Sides are well seasoned and flavorful.Today I was trying to order on UberEats. In the middle of ordering I get a pop up that they aren't accepting pick up or delivery orders. I to their website and try to order for pickup. The menu is different than what's on UE and the prices are actually higher if you order directly from them. Then it kept buffering then there was an error message. I call. Phone busy for 10 minutes. Finally rings..no one answered..it was 725p. Hours show until 10p. I never got to order. Many times in the past I've had to go in person bc they don't answer the phone! Get there and the lady literally had the phone off the hook smh.
Awesome fish & the okra servings are good portions!! But baby, bring your own hot sauce.
Sam Sylk's is a very good seafood restaurant! The Best Shrimp Dinners! I do recommend!
had the chicken tenders and waffle. was an enjoyable meal and i am thankful google maps found me another great place. the tenders were cooked well but a bit dry. i would rather have a well cooked meal that doesnt get me sick over an undercooked meal anyday but as a culinary enthusiast the dryness is a slight deduction. i will try fish next time.
Don’t order from this restaurant on Uber Eats, or otherwise. They pretend to be called “Fried or Die” to overcharge you for food you might actually want to eat, and then send you sandwiches with bones in them on liquified bread.
The food was hot & fresh. I loved the coleslaw & the fact that they switched from those dry crinkle fries!!!Older guy working was really very nice, but he really needs to WASH HIS HANDS MORE OFTEN & COUGH WITH HIS MASK ON!I understand that not everyone that coughs has COVID- just kinda turns my stomach these days.Thank you Sam Sylk’s
My first time ordering from here Last weekend and it was good family liked it chicken was good fresh hot but a little salty. The jumbo shrimps and tilapia fish and fries was good as well. I will be ordering from here again soon.
The staff at this location is TOP NOTCH!!!! They all deserve recognition. Now for the food. If you hate your chicken sitting under a heat lamp before you purchase this is the place to go! Every time we go, the chicken is dropped when ordered and is fresh, crispy, and juicy! Their sides are pre-made but FANTASTIC!!!!
They don’t wash their hands here they take your order, handle money, touch everything in sight and never wash their hands. I watched they from beginning to ended preparing my food
Sam sylk's chicken absolutely did not DISAPPOINT I recommend EVERYONE to go order whatever you want from sam I promise you that you will not be disappointed.The chicken was good juicy flavorful and CRISPY the waffle was fluffy.My guy had 2 polish boys that he didn't care for to much ?But that peach cobbler OMGOODNESS it was AMAZINGI most definitely will be back on multiple occasions ??
