My girlfriend introduced me to Richie Chan's when I visited here from Hawai'i a few years ago & every time I return to Cleveland I make a special request to go here instead of Asia Town. She goes to Richie Chan's frequently because the food is delicious, prepared to order quickly & generous portions are given. When I was a student at Beijing University many years ago, I looked forward to a plate of dumplings for lunch daily at the government run noodle shop near the campus. Richie Chan's now offers dumplings but it is not listed on their online or in-house menus so you need to request them. The pork filling was filled with freshly grated ginger & scallions which when dipped in the sesame soy sauce was truly exquisite reminding me of the comfort food I had all those years ago. In addition, we ordered shrimp subgum accompanied by sticky white rice but we ordered Yang chow fried rice & both dishes were packed with plenty of shrimp. We ordered pint sizes only but the food was so packed inside we had enough for 3 meals as a couple! In addition, they always include a navel orange & several fortune cookies. It is entirely run by a husband who does most of the stir fried cooking & his wife who takes the orders, waits tables & prepares all take out bags. They are extremely efficient, friendly & always happy to see you. It's a wonderful place to eat or to get take out meals. We have sampled nearly everything on their menu over the years & have no complaints. It is wonderful food, convenient & inexpensive compared to similar fare in Cleveland. As a result, we will keep returning to Richie Chan's as often as we are able. Please sample to your personal tastes from their varied menu but remember to ask for the dumplings!

I'm a very picky eater. And I love to eat good cuisines. This is definitely a good place with good food and good-hearted people! Since I found this place I have been coming here every meal and every day!

Food is good. Me and my husband liked all the items that we ordered. Only thing is we ordered that the food should be spicy, but it was not spicy at all. The lady who takes order is very nice and patient. Overall good.

Delicious rich authentic Chinese food at bargain basement prices! Clevelanders are so fortunate to have a culinary treasure in its diverse Asia town but the real gem is Richie Chan's in Cleveland Heights. We have eaten Chinese cuisine all over the world & my girlfriend, a CIA grad from New Hyde Park, has been eating here for the past 15 years since she moved back home to Cleveland & this is her favorite place. A single couple run the restaurant with the wife doing prep work, taking phone orders & making change while her husband does all the cooking... to order. This time we got Won ton soup, subgum Cantonese vegetables, yang chow fried rice & steamed dumplings. It was all tasty & filling (we had seconds) & they are so generous with their portions we have enough for dinner again tonight! They also include at no charge fortune cookies & sweet navel oranges. They offer enough variety to satisfy the entire range of taste buds. For the superb quality & bounteous quantity of food, you will never be disappointed at Richie Chan's. Qing man yong!

My favorite childhood to adulthood restaurant. The Brooks Family been going there since the early 80's. My number one dish is #7 Unfortunately we all moved out of town except for my younger brother. I'll be in Cleveland Hts Friday and best believe I'll be stopping by with my wife and oldest daughter. Such fond memories... Such a nice family.

For the money, this place is very good. The lo mien has been very good. ALSO, this is the *only* place I've found in east side that makes an authentic Shrimp and Lobster sauce. I get it without peas and carrots, and extra sesame oil. It's really very good every time so far. Even better than some of the chinatown places, no kidding.

My family has gotten food here multiple times and it's always good- when they actually get our order right. Every time we get something here, at least one dish is made wrong, or is even the completely wrong meal. The people working there correct it every time, but this pattern has not stopped. I do enjoy the lo mein when I actually get that instead of another random dish, though.

Best vegetable soup in the whole city of Cleveland!!! Tofu egg drops broccoli soon good and hot cures everything!! And will cook whatever you want to your taste. Have been going there since 1990 and still great!!

Best Chinese food around. Plenty to eat and still have leftovers
