Crab legs are not on menu now :(. Ordered porterhouse medium rare and came out well done so reordered and the cut of meat was sub par

First I’ll start with the good part about our experience at RED. Our server was very congenial and that was about where the good ended. The cons: The booth we were in was FILTHY! (Refer to photos) It was like they hadn’t cleaned it in a long time. We had five flies and two gnats at our table. We were able to kill one of each which was nasty. We had made a reservation but ended up being seated in the corner of the bar area instead of the dining room. The bar area was loud and not the romantic/date night vibe we were hoping for when going to a high end steakhouse. The charcuterie board appetizer - we had no clue what was on it and the menu didn’t specify The calamari appetizer - the calamari was soft when you bit into. For entrees, my husband and I both got the 8oz filets. He ordered his with the au pouvre topping and his filet came out burnt. It also was fatty on the inside. Both filets were extremely small and were not the size we typically see when ordering an 8 oz filet at steakhouses. I had ordered my entree “surf and turf” style with the crab cakes. This was an extra $20. Two crab cakes came and they were the smallest crab cakes I have ever seen. Also they didn’t come with any type of sauce/remoulade which I’ve never seen before either. It just came with a cut lemon inside a baggie. Mac n cheese side dish - was burnt on the top in places and had a weird seafood taste to it even though it didn’t have seafood in it Au gratin potatoes side dish - the potatoes were hard which makes us think they were undercooked Creamed corn - this was noted as a special side dish that they were offering. It tasted like canned corn that had ritz crackers crushed on top of it For over a $300 bill after tip, this entire experience was completely underwhelming and down right disappointing. We will likely not be returning to RED unless someone else wants to go. In the event that happens, we will try and dissuade them into going there and go to somewhere such as the marble

We LOVE Red, it’s the absolute best restaurant! We drive from Erie, PA just for dinner twice a year. I alway say we come special for the famous truffle mashed potatoes, after years of coming we have got to know the staff and we absolutely love Nicole. I alway make sure to request Nicole, she has always treated us with such kindness!! I have had 5 open heart surgeries, stage 4 lymphoma cancer that I’m currently in remission for but I go the Cleveland Clinic every month for intense immune therapy and Nicole knows how careful I have to be with my health, that she even wears a mask for me and my family!! That’s the best waitress you’ll ever have anywhere! The filet mignon C.A.B. Prime is a must it’s always seasoned to the absolute perfection and melts in your mouth! I’ve been to steakhouses in New York City, Philadelphia, and many more and nothing comes close to Red Downtown. We have been coming for the past 3 years and it’s always the best meal of the year!! I really would love to see the Tater Tots come back to the downtown location they have been off the menu since our first visit and we really loved them especially being a gluten free diner it was a special treat as was the crème brí»lée both of those would be excellent to come back as they were out of this world and they were a wonderful gluten free option! We love Red and we love Nicole!!! We will be back again this fall. I tell everyone if you go to Red go to the Downtown location, ask for Nicole, make sure you order C.A.B Prime and the truffle mashed potatoes are an absolute MUST!!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner tonight

Excellent service! The French onion dip and loaded gnocchi were amazing!

The food and service were fantastic. Leah did a great job. The only reason I held off on a perfect review is that we felt a bit rushed. We planned to have a nice, relaxing, laid back dining experience and that was not the case. Our three course dinner only took an hour. Maybe we should have said something at the beginning of the meal, but typically at this type of establishment that is understood. The food was amazing, and they did bring out a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was delicious. Would definitely eat here again if I ever find myself in Cleveland again.

Very nice! Highly recommend.

Well Done Cleveland! Good pace to the meal. Reasonable prices. Recently was in NYC at a high end steakhouse and this was better (had the prime strip).

We loved Red! It was my first time there and I thought the room was quiet, upscale, and contemporary! Very nice! Caitlyn was a great hostess and the table she chose for us was perfect! Our server was fun and engaging. We loved meeting Barbara—-definitely an expert in fine dining. On the way out, the “assistant manager” was a bit awkward and seemingly unprofessional when I asked for a comment card — but, it seemed like she may be new (and of course, young). The evening was a success! We’ll visit again.

Chase was a fantastic waiter, and the food was very good.

Had a nice dinner before the show at Playhouse. The food (filets, tuna & pasta/meatballs) was Excellent. Our table was inside by the window..a little to hot and a diverse group of pedestrians to sit at the sidewalk tables.
