Would give it 5 stars but for the price of ox tails is to high for a small portion that they serve you.
Let me start by saying that the only place I get Jamaican food from is on Noble but they are closed so this was my first time here. The ladies checking you out/preparing food have the ATTITUDE on them but this is essential when you're getting Jamaican food. If the people are too nice, your food will be trash.I ordered a beef patty and a large spicy jerk dinner. First glance has me like "hmm, this is about to be disappointing", first bite had me like "hold on, this might be something...let me taste the rice." THEY COOK THE RICE IN COCONUT MILK!!! So now my taste buds are having a party and it's time for the cabbage...divine!!!!Recommendations: GO THERE IMMEDIATELY! I would ask for extra sauce!! My food was is NO WAY DRY but the spicy sauce is delicious and you just need more :)
Food was sub-par on a good day. The females behind the counter were as pleasant as a crab going into a pot of boiling water. and the place wasn't clean. I do not recommend this place for anything not even a napkin. No thank you.
Food was great. Tasted fresh and was served hot! Visiting from out of town and was overjoyed to find food that tasted like home!
I tried the stewed chjicken for the first time all I can say was wow!!!!!!! The food was bursting with authentic flavors of Jamaica 🇯🇲. Tonight I will return for a second dish for returning back Detroit
First time visiting here since I was headed to my mom's. Was upset they didn't have curry goat but the curry chicken would be the next "go to".The portion sizes were well worth the money.Tasted ok??♀️
Would be nice if they answered their phone. When I go sometimes their sold out of oxtailand I travel 40 mins total trip 1hr 20 mins. That’s a huge bummer.
Really good for a few times I went. Then last night I got really boney and small portions for $17 large goat. And two small legs and a chicken back for $14 large brown stew. Had to complain twice to get to a medium???? I won't be going out of my way to come again. Higher prices than my usual place but they are open later. If you are just absolutely desperate for island cuisine and don't care about price or portion then this is a spot to consider. The food isn't bad. It's the stingyness.
Excellent, tasty authentic Jamaican cuisine. I don’t compliment food easily but this is definitely worth the trip. Patronize your local eateries, Especially this gem here! I would keep coming back. You should consider it too.
Everything was delicious the food was flavorful the only problem I had was I did not want rice and beans I just wanted vegetables but it was delicious and I haven't tried my cornbread yet
