Visited Nuevo after visit to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The location is beautiful. So nice to sit by the lake on a sunny afternoon and watch the boats. The Cucumber Mezcal margarita was delicious! Different choices of salt or sugar on the rim was a nice touch. We enjoyed the guacamole, chips and smoked tomato salsa we ordered. The rest of our meal was just average. Both my husband’s burrito and my quesadilla were all meat. Although the meat was tender and delicious, the both missing flavor. The quesadilla came with pickled onions which were barely included. I would recommend Nuevo for a drink and light appetizer to enjoy the view, but save your money on dinner.
We grabbed lunch at Nuevo and really enjoyed it. Our waitress was excellent… friendly and attentive. The food was very good. I had shrimp tacos, which were excellent. Their margaritas were also really good. We sat at an outside table which had nice views all around, including of Lake Erie. Overall, it was just a really good experience. We would definitely eat here again, and we highly recommend them. -The PowerTrippers
Horrible...the only thing good was the guacamole herbanro jelly. The birra quesadilla was nasty. The sauce tasted just like oil. As you can tell by the pic the fries were burned. There were out of a lot of items. The street corn grits was not creamy like the last time I visited in July. DisappointedUpdate: in response to the owner. I would like to believe things run low or run out but the last time I came you did not have the plantin fritters. Also if you take a good look at the pic and compare the potatoes on the other side to the ones that are burnt... they are clearly burnt and tasted burnt
The vantage point of Nuevo is prime on the 9th Street Pier. The food and cocktails are great. The menu is so robust, it will take us several visits to get to all the good stuff that made our mouths water. And every so often you can look up and see the Rock Hall or the Cleveland Skyline or Lake Erie and you feel like you're in a super cool spot.

Sloooow. Expensive. Not what it thinks it is, at least for lunch. Cold carnitas, cold rice, tortillas that sat to long after being heated. Took over 30 minutes to get our food after ordering...X or Ex was moving pretfy slow...also had to flag down the greeter to finally get our check to leave. Almost $40 later for a salad, a coke and taco's with rice. Find someplace else...pretty views aren't worth that much and the food isn't either.
The grilled avocado with habanero honey and goat cheese is fabulous! We had a delicious meal and enjoyed the bright interior and friendly staff.
I just love the location of this place! Great views of Lake Erie while eating. Even tho I had a 30 minute wait, our service was great! I'm slightly biased about restaurants that serve good drinks, and the drinks here were also good. The food was amazing! We debated on who's food was better to the point we just shared our meals with each other LOL. If you're in the Cleveland area this place is definitely top 5.
This place has SUCH a cool location and the staff was so friendly. We stopped in from out of town when going to a Cavs game, and I loved the fact that the restaurant was RIGHT on Lake Erie!If you go, doing the guac trio is an absolute must. They were all so delicious. We got the traditional, habanero jelly, and the one with candied bacon ??The tacos were good, but the ones I got weren't my favorite. A little too out of the box. But the guac was amazing!!
Be far now one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I've ever been to!!!! Our waitress was absolutely the best and was very informant., the drinks she recommended were absolutely ????... This restaurant has great views and our seats had us looking out over the lake, a great vibe for any date night.... We'll most definitely be back ??????. By the way I had the birria ramen and street corn grits and my bae had a birria quesadilla
