Great location right in downtown. Walking distance to both progressive and the basketball stadium. Great atmosphere, and several great dining and drink spots right at the hotel. Downfall is only valet parking. So if you can overlook that you have a great location. Rooms were roomy for what I had, but noticed where there hasn’t been dusting happening in a coupleLocations. Overall a great stay with great atmosphere in downtown Cleveland.
**20 Stars** Wow, what can I say. This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location with a fantastic client service team. The lounges are unique. The restaurant, "Adega" won't disappoint. The room was .... HUGE! This hotel left us wishing we could stay longer. Thank you to everyone at the Metropolitan at the 9... such a wonderful experience.
Good experience overall, room I had on end did not have much of a view besides other rooftop and was like a studio with shower open to room. Room heard a lot of the outside noise for being up 9 floors. Although the presentation was good and staff fantastic at both hotel and restaurant, I expected a step up.
I'm an ambassador member, I tried to call in to let this hotel know my guest was coming 15 minutes before me, please let him get a key, as I had already checked in and prepaid, plus I checked in though the app and tried chatting through the app. They told me my "accompaniment would need to arrive with me for verification purposes." Ummm, isn't that what this secure chat is for and don't you have other ways of verifying my identity besides making an ambassador member who spends hundred of thousands of dollars a year with Marriott come to the front desk with their guest to "verify." For a nice hotel like this you'd think they'd be a little more sophisticated and understand how to use simple verification tools beyond the holiday inn express tech. Anyways, nice hotel, not so smart management.
Stayed here for a brief business trip, The hotel was wonderful. The staff were very accommodating and Lorena at the front desk of guest services went above and beyond to make my stay at Metropolitan at the 9 the most enjoyable. She assisted with an early check in as as well as helped print out my boarding passes when I checked out. Thank you for a wonderful business trip experience.
This Marriott Autograph Collection property is housed in the former Cleveland Trust Tower, featuring Adega (modern Mediterranean cuisine), Ledger Bar for cocktails and Vault nightclub.
Room was not clean. Blood stains on sheets and curtains. Old boots left in closet. Mini fridge locked due to covid and tv did not work. Inconvenienced front desk asking for batteries. Not a good experience for being an expensive hotel.
As a lifetime titanium elite member, I was less than impressed with this property. Over the past 15 years, I've averaged about 85-100 nights per year in hotel rooms; all Marriott branded properties. My stay was on Sunday the 23rd. I saw very few employees at this property and it was confirmed, as it literally took the entire night to get bathroom amenities delivered to the room! In my opinion, the expectation when staying at an Autograph property, is nearly the highest level of service, amenities, and condition of the property. Our room was 810 and considered a suite with a small sectional sofa and a wing back chair. The wing back chair was actually ripped with stuffing coming out! I will give a shout out to the bathroom! Neat set up with shower and bathtub. Overall, would not stay here again, as value and condition of property does not warrant the price they charge.
I can’t say enough how wonderful Metropolitan at the 9 is. We were impressed initially by the architecture and even more so once we saw it in person. There is so much texture to every room and hallway. The detail is incredible. The concierge staff was great on R. Sebek was always smiling and helpful. Chase gave us a tour of the entire hotel along w a bit of history. The tour was perfect. The food and drinks were amazing too. This hotel is a great example of perfect service.
Elite Marriott member who spends 100+ nights a year as a business and leisure traveler. The property and staff were all top notch. 5/5 recommend. The staff really sets this properly a notch above!I specifically want to mention Director of Front Office Teddy Ostapack, who was exceptionally accommodating and responsive in resolving a couple things during our stay. Thank you Teddy! We visited during a busy (and cold) football weekend in January. Checkin was a breeze, and staff happily brought us more toiletries , extra towels, etc. Clean, spacious suite with soaking tub. A beautiful property. We will see you again!
