Save yourself the time and just go down the road a little further to "The Bagley's Grill" where you are treated with respect and courtesy.Mom and I tried to go to Katherine's for a late lunch after a doctor's appointment yesterday. We were seated by the "host", whom I suspect may have really been the owner? The waitress came by and was very nasty and told us we close in "15 minutes" and walked away. The next thing I know a different lady came over and said you can stay if you order quick and something easy like breakfast. There were two signs out front, one advertising "Lunch Specials" and one advertising "Dinner Specials", so honestly I never looked at the hours on the door when we walked in. I told her we did not want breakfast. She told me that it is posted on the door that they close at 3pm so it has to be something quick and easy, like breakfast. I asked why there was a sign posted showing "Dinner Specials" if they close at 3pm? She was very nasty and said well we close at 3pm. Why would the "Host" have seated us if they were closing and were going to refuse our business? Just handled very poorly and rude in my opinion. I guess we will never know how good the food supposedly is at Katherine's! I warned a few other customers that were about to walk in as we walked out. They all turned around and left too. Small businesses are struggling right now and we always try to give them our business. Sorry, not Katherine's! Absolutely no respect shown. They obviously are not hurting and don't care to have our business. So we move on...
I was ubering super late on a saturday night was too tired to drive home woke up hungry, and this was the only place open at 6am. So that was awesome.Friendly waitress, food came out fast and hot. Coffee cup was never empty. The price for food was pretty reasonable
Been comin here for years but lately service leaves A LOT TO BE DESIRED.. Today, 40 minutes to get food on table. Then scrambled eggs were BROWN from Over cooking, bacon had RAW places, toast burnt and potatoes not cooked as ordered.Ive HAD IT. Service was getting bad, but now the food too!? Not spending my HARD EARNED money where customers are of no value
My family and I love this restaurant. However today the waitress in the front of the restaurant was so incredibly rude to us today. We were waiting for over a half hour. which Is completely fine but when another party got seated in front of us that had only been there maybe 10 mins got seated before us we went to the waitress to say hey we have been waiting and put our name in. She said I don't take complaints and continued to walk away then seat another couple. Then we decided to leave and she rudely said I can seat your right now and take your order. After being upset by how she treated my mom and I we said we're leaving. She then continued to say we'll I have a table and you don't want it. Mind you we were not complaining we were just saying hey we have been waiting and other people, have been seated in front us. I was so upset at the rudness. We have never been treated like that at Katherine's before. I then called the Owner and mind you I made the mistake and said hostess when I first called and the same woman was again rude on the phone and corrected me and said we don't have hostesses everyone here is a waitress. However when I finally spoke to the owner he was very nice and apologetic. My family and I would not be rude to anyone working at restaurant due to how hard and stressful it can be. I was so sad because we love coming to Katherine's.
Nice breakfast place BLT, pancakes was plentiful and delicious. Hospitality was welcoming by the owner...so we went back the following day and was remembered and greeted with the same customer service once again. Great place to dine for breakfast but get there early because due to the customer service experience there's limited sitting!
Welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience. Good, fast service and food. Generous portions and cooked perfectly. I had unsweetened tea and the corn beef with poached eggs and buttered rye toast. Although they were packed, the wait was not too long at 9:30am. Owner on site and hands on. It is an honors system among customers to let the restaurant know who is next. I will definitely return the next time I am in Cleveland.
Good family restaurant, prices are reasonable, food is excellent. Highly recommend.
Great breakfast including amazing home fries - crisp and not greasy.
I went here with my Mom & kids and we had breakfast. It was a very pleasant experience. The coffee was good and I got the eggs benedict which was delicious.
Had breakfast on our way home from LA on 26th December morning. Great breakfast place. Great service. Love this place.
