Hell’s Fried Chicken is aptly named, since eating here felt like divine punishment. The first thing I saw when I opened up my little cardboard box of horrors was their “toast”, which is a hot dog bun. No joke- it is a literal greasy hot dog bun. It tasted like oily packing foam, and my body did not recognize it as food. The coleslaw was a soup of rancid mayonnaise which instantly activates the gag reflex. The chicken tenders were a good size and hot, but flavorless and 40% oil by weight. If you wrung them out like a dish rag you’d probably have enough oil to fry another batch. The garlic-Parmesan dipping sauce was an acrid concoction consisting of an obscene amount of garlic mashed in butter. The curly fries were the least offensive offering, but they too were desperately in need of seasoning. Iced tea tasted how mop water smells. Overall, it’s rare that a restaurant manages to execute every aspect of a meal poorly, but Hell’s does so with gusto. As an aside, this place was packed with college students. This troubles me. Did they choose the worst restaurant in University Circle as an ironic meeting place? Are they under duress? If anyone knows, please tell me.
Food was terrible. When I walked in I didn’t smell food. I asked was the chicken fresh he said yes it’s been done for 10 minutes. I taste before I left it was cold and chicken was brown on the inside like it was old. Fries were hard when I asked them to remake I got it back everything was very greasy. Not a good chicken place. Would not recommend.
Food was absolutely outstanding! Delivery was fast. I would definitely order again. My only feedback was on the Uber eats menu, it was confusing and I ended up spending a lot more money than I should have. This resulted in a ton of leftover food.
The food was pretty decent. The tenders are made to order which is nice. The fries really didn’t have a taste. They have a Pepsi machine which lets you choose your flavors ( like the Coca Cola machines) and I thought they was cool. Service was subpar.
Went to the new location in Seven Hills/Parma. Extremely generous portions. Tenders had a nice crisp to them and even with medium spice it was enough to make me have to stop and drink water every now and then. Toast and curly fries were really good as well. Service was great and staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Stopped in the new Parma location and everything was delicious. The chicken and fries were well seasoned and just delicious. There are a bunch of different sauces and the ones we had were really good. My husband and I split a combo meal and it was plenty of food for the two of us. Super nice people there too. Wishing this new Parma business much success.
The service by an eagles fan was superb definitely great company and conversation.. now the food is what I based the review by the food was not flavorful nor the sauce. Needs flavor but my opinion. Threw our food away cause could not bare it. The name is what grabbed our attention does not hold up to our taste buds.
I had combo 8 which offers 4 drumsticks, toast, fries, and a drink. The drumstick sizes were huge and juicy inside, and I was rather full by the time I finished. Serving size is definitely nice. However, the main issue I had was with the Korean bbq sauce. The sauce was more watery than I thought and doesn't resemble any Korean fried chicken sauce I've tried. I thought it was similar to a generic sweet and sour sauce with some level of spice to it. If I ever want some fried chicken I'll come here again. Though maybe with a different sauce.
First off customer service is A1 please don't change. The food is good..wings could be cooked a minute or two longer. Today my wings were not that done...not posting photos of that. It wasn't a deal breaker for me tho, I just came home and dropped them in the grease a little longer. The flavor of the chicken is spot on! As for the fried Mac N Cheese, it's a NO for me and my daughter. The Mac N cheese was bland it tasted like Kraft Mac N Cheese out the box. Not at all what we expected for $4. The curly fries are better than Arby's. The chicken sandwich is tenders on a bun with lettuce and pickles. It's good, I'll minus the lettuce next time because it was a little to wilted for my liking. Overall....I think Hell's Chicken can have longevity here in Cleveland Ohio. I will definitely be back, I'll just ask for my chicken to be cooked a little longer going forward. If they accommodate my request they'll have a customer for life.
I went expecting it to be like Raising Cane's. It was nowhere near. My food was lukewarm, the Cole slaw tasted terrible, and the chicken wasn't as crispy or seasoned as I thought. The highlight was the bread and the curly fries. Still with everything being lukewarm it wasn't as enjoyable as it could be. Now I just want Raising Cane's.
