Such a beautiful grocery store, once a bank, has a second life. It's wonderful.
Not many grocery stores are opened in downtown Cleveland, especially on a weekday night. For folks who are in the downtown area, whether they are here for a convention, conference, or game, then this store is a good option or at least until 8 P.M.It's clean and well stocked, with a gorgeous interior too and definitely one of our highlights from our visit to Cleveland.
The history of Cleveland is fascinating! This small grocery store and food court used to be a bank! You can actually have dinner reservations in the Vault!
What an amazing grocery store in downtown Cleveland. The store is located in what seems to be a historical building. The prices seem reasonable for being downtown. Very friendly staff
Perhaps the most beautiful grocery store in America. If you're trendy and live downtown, it's the place to shop. If you're strolling down East 9th and want a spontaneous wine bar visit, here it is. If you're an architecture buff and just want to see the rotunda, it's worth it.
I love taking my little family here at least a couple times a year. Wine for sale by the glass. Specialty meats, cheeses, and plenty of veg and vegan options. Always they best experience when we stop by. My 4 year old doesn't even complain while we're there. The upper level is a must have for a date night!
I have to comment on how wonderful the staff is at this location! So so friendly and helpful! I always have a great experience shopping at this heinens and it really comes down to the staff. Thanks for all you do to serve the downtown residents and give us an awesome grocery option in the city!
A stunning building with an atrium and speakeasy that will make you wonder if you’re really in a grocery store. My wife and I arrived from Cleveland and needed some supplies for the weekend. She checked maps and said, “This place looks really cool.” Parking in the area wasn’t the easiest, so she went in alone as I tended the car. We made sure to return the next day so I could experience it and my sister-in-law as well. What we saw did not disappoint. You enter through a normal looking grocery store, but when you step into the atrium, everything changes. You look up three stories to a vaulted ceiling. Inside the atrium is a deli and other made to order food. The entrance directly to this area is open weekdays from 11:00-2:00.The second floor is where the beer, wine and liquor is. Apart from just purchasing, they have a tasting area and a bar. The wine can be self-serve by the glass and décor is beautiful up there. While we didn’t stop for a drink and disappointed the bartender, they were so friendly and it would have been delightful to hang out there. There is also something called The Vault that was not open when we were there, but it is a speakeasy style bar set in an old bank vault.Heinen’s would be an incredible place to hang out with friends or go on a date. You can taste several offerings before grabbing a nice cocktail in The Vault and then grab snacks on your way out.
Just a great place to go shopping and enjoy a nice grocery shopping experience!Watch out!! Prices can be a little over. They have a fine selection of wine on the second floor and have good quality meats! If your looking to make a $200 in grocery purchases, I honestly suggest Walmart for very large quantities but this place is for quality and a nicer, cleaner experience. Highly recommend the visit if your new in town.
I was impressed with the design of this building, which used to be a bank and now a supermarket. It is wonderful!Customer service outstanding. We spoke with the manager, and he was so polite and helpful. The variety of food and the presentation were excellent. The wine tasting stations... I loved them.I was genuinely impressed and delighted with this supermarket.
