The fried mushrooms with the cilantro ranch were very good, however the "burger of the month" July Burger was very difficult to eat on a bagel. It kept sliding everywhere. I did not find that the flavor of the meat was particularly good. Unfortunately despite asking for it to be more rare than medium they wound up cooking my burger well done. I didn't send it back because they were busy. I know a lot of people rave about this place but I just did not find it to live up to the hype I've had better burgers. I will give them a credit on their natural cut fries they definitely stayed more crispy than most places.
Went for Cleveland Burger Week and the apps and sides were great, the burgers not so much unfortunately. The beef patty was well done and seemed too small for the rest of the burger. This was their Lil' G burger. They do have the Big G which is the same but with one more beef patty. The thought of one more well done patty doesn't make the burger any more desirable to me though. We did get there at the end of a very busy Friday dinner service so that might have been a factor. While the staff were definitely working hard, they were all nice and attentive. The indoor dining area was loud but we sat out on their lovely patio. I'd definite go back if I'm in the area, I'll just try one of their many other meal choices!
We stopped for the brunch after our workout to try it and it was amazing! We had a burger and a corn beef hash! Everything was really good. Our drinks were amazing. We had Jack and coke and Bloody Mary Maria!
Great local dinner/bar. Beautiful outside patio to make up for the small amount of seating inside. Tons of German, Polish, and Eastern European comfort food. Chicken Paprikash, peirogies, sauerkraut and cabbage, schnitzel, the options are endless. All the food is made with love. Just make sure you don’t wait around all day, they do sell out of certain items. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu
Food was amazing! Jacob deserves a raise! He does amazing work. I had the Guardian Burger and it could feed 3 people!
First timers here and we LOVED this place! Definitely one of the best if not the best burger I've ever had. So juicy and flavorful. And it comes with cheese dip for your fries?! Are you kidding?! Amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. And the history behind this establishment is wonderful. Can't say enough great things about Gunselman's!
The food here is awesome!! Perfectly seasoned, served hot. Yum!!
One of our favorite spots for a burger and a drink at a great price! Always fresh and delicious. Sometimes they get too busy to order take out, but I'm happy they are doing well! One of our favorite places to eat!
From one Gunny to another, this is a great place! Ran into another Marine, and I think his son is a Marine too last weekend. I had a burger with corned beef as a patty melt. It was VERY good. I'd just skip the sauerkraut, personally. Live music was a nice bonus.
It was very crowded at 430PM on a Friday night during Lent. We were told a 45 minute wait which we used to get drinks from the bar. 4 of us were served rather quickly standing by the bar and were then seated in about 25 minutes. We started with Lobster bisque and clam chowder which were both excellent. 2 of us got the cod fish and chips and 2 had the lake perch. Service was good, thorough and friendly. We were disappointed in the perch. 4 very flat fillets which were very salty tasting. The cole slaw was average as were the French fries. The other couple liked the cod and had no complaints. Beer and wine was good. Would love to come back and try the hamburgers ? which we heard was their specialty.
